Should Have

Friday, February 04, 2011
This is the first time I didn't plan an outfit for work. I just threw this on and ran out the door. NOT. I stared at my closet for a half an hour instead. I didn't want to wear jeans (fat-legs day) but I didn't want to wear a skirt either (I haven't shaved my legs in n days.) So I settled for black and white with pops of color. Now that I look at it, I should have nixed the scarf and blazer and worn my motorcycle jacket instead.

Now Chase and I are off to get some dinner (probably McDonald's) because neither of us wants to do the dishes and we don't have any food...not even cereal, which is absurd because we're cereal fiends. Don't forget to check out the new giveaway I posted earlier today! Have a good night.

I'm wearing a leopard print scarf ($7), thrifted blazer ($3), graphic t-shirt (giveaway win from Herro Hachi), J Brand jeans ($158), and JCPenney heels (free with gift cards).

  1. You're crazy girl, your legs look super lean! And I have a leopard scarf from H&M that I love and I almost wore it today, we could have been twinsies! Except I already have a twin so we would have been triplets, lol.

  4. I think there's nothing wrong with these choices! I think we are all more critical of ourselves than others. Jeans and blazers are such great basics, and I love the cheetah + red pops of color, it really brings the outfit to life!

  9. I like it the way it is. It's a mix of girly, and edgy. It would look good with a motorcycle jacket though. I'm sorry you took my bad advice on not cleaning. I finally caved, and cleaned everything. Today was not a fun day.

  21. I love how this outfit came out- especially with the red shoes. I actually like that you put on the leopard scarf because it looks awesome with the graffiti writing blouse and those red shoes- all these pieces give the outfit a subtle rocker-chic edge. Isn't JC Penny the best though? Definitely a treasure trove- and a jackpot with all the discounts and stuff like that. One of my fave places to shop- I'll get things there and people will be like, "Where'd you get that?!" Haha- "JC Penny!! Booyah!"

  22. You look fab as always, you're a real whizz at coming up with great outfits. What I particularly like is that you have a rather classic style but then you always spice it up with something unexpected.

  23. You look so cute in this. Motorcycle jacket would have been good, too, but not a thing wrong with this outfit. I love the scarf. Was at Penney's today and saw your purple shoes on sale for $6.49. Also, saw these red ones and wanted them so much. Maybe I'll go back today. No need to deprive myself of something so fabulous.

  26. I am all about this tshirt. It's perfect because it's not too graphic-y but it's the perfect amount to make it so much more than a simple white tee. I also love how you threw in the red peep toes, perfect.

  27. Fat-legs day? You must be kidding, your frame is really gorgeous! Love how a leopard-print scarf changes the whole look. x

  30. Love my black skinnys, definitely my go to pants! The best fashion advice I have ever received was from my best friend in high school: "If you can't find anything to wear, wear black."
