That cute pregnant photographer

Remember when I introduced you to Carolee Beckham here? And that I found out I knew her brother and sister-in-law? Yeah, that was funny. Since we're basically best friends now, I thought I'd tell you a little more about her.. Isn't she pretty? She just got bangs!
So how did this little lady become a photographer? She was given her first camera when she was 13 and she studied it at Brigham Young University - Idaho! I went there too! Like a bajillion years ago! (Not really. More like 5 years ago.) She's also interned with Jon Moe, a fashion photographer, in New York. (I didn't know who that was and had to Google him.) She also studied in PARIS. That's in FRANCE. Totally jealin. (That's "jealous"...as a verb.) She had an exhibit for her Holga pictures of France...and one on Mormon Marrieds (you'll only get this if you're Mormon...and married).
She's preggo my eggo, pregnant, has a bun in the oven, preggers, whatever you call it these days. She did a recent post on how big little Beckham is getting. I can't wait to see what other produce items she's going to compare the babe too...and what else she wears. Maybe I can get her to start posting her outfits on her blog regularly...
She and her husband live in American Fork, Utah. Since I'm nosy (and you probably are too), they met at a singles ward!! It's funny if you're a Mormon. Any AF folks spot her with her fancy-pants camera yet? You can find her at P.F. Chang's or any Thai restaurant. She is practically Asian.
Some random tidbits... She loves to travel. She loves good chocolate. She loves dogs. She hopes her baby will have her husband's dimples. She loves to listen to chill, indie music. She served a Mormon mission in Latvia. She eventually wants to go to graduate school to teach photography.
And don't forget, Utahns.. She is giving away a *free photography session here!

  1. I don't know much about the Mormon background but I have a ton of pregnant friends who all have the "fruit" tickers so I get the pics! And I just got bangs too lol. I had been thinking about it for months and finally had the courage to do it. I have been seeing more people with them now. She looks great!!! I don't know any Utahns to register for the free session but good luck to her for her pregnancy!

  10. Beautiful photos! She should come do photos in NYC. Please!

FYI, John Moe was until recently bishop of a Manhattan ward, and he and his wife are photographers/models (and Adam and Eve. You know what I mean).

  14. Elaine, I totally love this idea and I'm newly pregnant (13 weeks yesterday!) so I may actually borrow this idea from her. I am totally going to give her credit, too! What a cute idea as a way to use those "fruit tickers" they give you on all of the baby websites.
