A Story...of some sort

Tuesday, February 01, 2011
I just started taking pictures on our rooftop when Chase goes to school early because our apartment has bad lighting in the morning and the fire escape is overrated now and everyone hates my hallway. There are also apartments that look into the rooftop area on the left and right that you can't see but I'm just telling you for the sake of my story.

I'll just stand here and smile. I hope the neighbors aren't creepy and watching me take pictures of myself.

I'm tired...... Did I get any good pictures yet? Maybe I should do a kick. That's kind of cute.

Nah... I'm just going to take a little break.

What? No good pictures?? Better smile and suck it up.
I'm wearing a JCPenney trenchcoat (free with gift cards), H&M shirt ($6), J Brand jeans ($158), JCPenney shoes (free with gift cards), and gold necklace ($5).

Here's a half-hearted smile and kick...but it looks more like I'm about to fly, which would be awesome.
But I have to go to work now.

  8. I am very impressed that you can take pictures of yourself. I usually end up with three heads. I don't know how that happens.

  15. Love the trench coat - or do they call them something else these days? It's 17 degrees here so it's down coat and boots for me.

  16. I'm impressed that you take them in the morning! That's one reason why I haven't done outfit posts in the mornings -- I'm rushing out the door to get to work! I'm actually a master at blow drying my hair with my car's heating vents. I consider it one of my superhero powers.

  19. Ok Elaine... this has got to be one of my favorite looks of yours. It's so chic and so Parisian. Minimalism at it's finest. I wish I could master the art of a minimalist's lifestyle (or at least closet!). I love the red shoe... a GREAT heel and a bow = fabulousness.

I like your new photo location too!

  22. Those shoes are all sorts of fabulous! They bring just the right amount of pop to your look.

Taking remix photos by yourself can always be dicey. I know my neighbors probably think I'm a little crazy!

  24. Now I feel all pressured to make you laugh. In the last picture you look like you should be a superhero. http://i54.tinypic.com/hv6ov4.jpg

(Oh, and if you don't want everyone to see it that's cool if you don't approve it.)
