This morning was such an awkward day to take pictures. I had two people watch me while Chase took these...not the normal three second stare and then looking away but the awkward one where they keep staring as they walk by then turn their head and stare at you past their shoulder as they walk away. Seriously? Can you be any more creepy?!?

RECAP: I asked you guys here for two more outfits to justify this cardigan purchase with my three outfits rule and I got so many ideas - thank you! Two outfits down, one more to go until this cardigan can be honorably inducted into my closet. You're not welcome yet, cardigan.

A reminder for the late birds... I've got a giveaway going on right now for $25 to spend at Smashion. It's like an online thrift store but better. Follow my blog with bloglovin' for a gazillion extra points...and by a gazillion I mean one.
I'm wearing a trenchcoat (free with gift cards), thrifted dress ($5), cardigan from some Korean clothes store ($14), thrifted belt ($1), and Seychelles mary janes ($15) with a bowler bag (free with gift cards).

ohhh! Definitely one of my favorite outfits. I am in love with your shoes!
ReplyDeleteThey were probably staring because they thought you were a professional model.
ReplyDeleteahhh I absolutely LOOOOOOOVE when you wear that dress! It's to die for! I hate creepers.

This is one of my favourite outfits I've seen from you thus far. What a wonderful colour combination. :)

This outfit is awesome. It looks killer with the trench. I love that the skirt to your dress has a little body. I always buy dresses thinking they will have that nice flowy body but then they never lay right. I bet the cardigan and belt actually make the skirt seem more flowy. I might just have to try this out. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAs for those starring, I agree with Jane, they probably thought you were a model.
Ah it's that lovely dress again Elaine! I love it even more with your cardigan too :) I hate when people stare too :( Can't they just mind their own business?!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love the dress and the shoes are so cute!
ReplyDeleteMy neighbors stare at me when I go outside to take photos. It is so creepy.
ReplyDeleteMy Heart Blogged

ReplyDeleteBows and Pearls
Hahah that is weird, it would be funny if they just stood there looking at you. "you are not welcome yet cardigan" =D
ReplyDeleteBellesme
OMG. I'm so glad you talked about the weird starers! I rarely do outfit photos in populous areas, but I tried this past weekend, and got so many stares! I was wondering how other bloggers did it and thought I was the only one getting weird looks. Nice to know it happens! :)
ReplyDeletePS. I love those shoes!!
Super cute! I really like the button dress :)
ReplyDeleteI like the color c0mbination and the shoes!

I love the cardigan and LOVE the outfit! It goes great with the belt and shoes. I actually have the EXACT cardigan in violet and grey! :-) I love the olive color more though! You should definitely keep it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute dress! And now you know why I'm not taking pictures outside when people are looking! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou really have the best shoes.
ReplyDeleteI'm not brave enough yet to take pictures anywhere but my backyard. Too scared of passersby!

Ugh, people are so annoying sometimes, I really hate it when they do that! In good news, I love this outfit!! It's perfectly styled!
ReplyDeleteLidi @ Eclectic Flair
Those mary janes are absolutely presh!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, when two attractive people manage to make it out of their dwelling in the morning wearing more than pajama pants and slippers, you're going to have to expect staring. When they see your hubs taking pics of you, they are probably trying to figure out if you're the girl that won America's Next Top Model!
Were these "people" males? Because then it's not surprising they would want to stare at a pretty lady :) This is partly the reason why I don't take outfit photos outdoors - I don't want people looking at me funny haha :P
ReplyDeleteThat dress is too cute for words. So,
ReplyDelete;)
you look lovely! =]
ReplyDeletethanks for the smashion tip, never heard of it before! i still feel a little awkward taking pics in public I wonder what they think I'm doing...lol!
ReplyDeleteThey were probably just trying to visually memorise your great ourfit. If only they knew that you had a blog, they could have popped by and had a detailed look.
ReplyDeleteThat shirt dress is awesome! I love it, and I can't believe its thrifted, now I'm really envious.

ReplyDeleteWhat creepers! On the other hand, they're probably staring because the outfit is so freakin awesome. I really love the cardi over the dress!

I love it! Haha ya people are creepy like that haha! My dad being a people watcher himself :)
ReplyDeleteI'd probably be one of those creepers. {I'm from a small town, I am practically REQUIRED by law to stare at strangers.} I'd also run up to you, and say something like, "ELAINE!! It's me. Megan! I am always astounded by your resourcefulness....oh, and your dress is fabulous. K, bye."
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Got a good laugh out of that one.
ReplyDeleteYou can just say to people staring next time, 'Uh, I'm doing a fashion shoot, for my blog'! In a snotty tone of voice. Well, maybe not snotty. But in a why-are-you-staring-at-me kind of tone.
ReplyDeleteLove your belt and your shoes! Sorry about the people staring, weirdo's!
ReplyDeleteAwesome look - love the cardi & dress pairing - looks great together :)
ReplyDeleteI always wonder how little imagination people must have to look so shocked and confused seeing someone take photos. I've noticed it not only when I do outfit shots but also just generally snapping anything even slightly out of the ordinary. Bless 'em. They're missing out.
Love the olive cardigan with the blue dress, perfect!
ReplyDeleteyou look gorgeous§!kiss from prague
ReplyDeletehaha if I saw someone taking outfit photos I would go say hi, especially to you!
ReplyDeleteMy photo shoots bring all the bloggers to the yard, and their like "My camera's nikon," and I'm like "Um okay? Thats fine." haha
Cute outfit, I love those shoes so much, adorable! :)
ReplyDeletePrincipessa Gabriella
