My off-the-blog Uniform

Tuesday, February 08, 2011
This outfit is so simple and boring I was this close to not posting it. But I did. And you're welcome. If I didn't do this fashion blogging thing, this would probably be my uniform, just a different shirt every day...presumably. I like the t-shirt and jeans look with some lady shoes. Sneakers are too "I'm one of the guys"...and I'm not. I'm a girl.

I just got this shirt last weekend when we went to see our friend's band, Greenhorse, play. Check them out and tell me what you think. They're kind of MGMT-ish, which I like. You guys know I'm not into t-shirts but I couldn't resist this simple green silhouette. I'll need to shrink it because it's like "I'm fitted but not really." I like my t-shirts either fitted or super baggy. None of this in-between stuff.

I'm wearing a Collection B jacket ($55), Greenhorse shirt ($20), J Brand jeans ($158), JCPenney heels (free with gift cards) with a JCPenney bag (free with gift card) and a tan bag from Korea ($10) for all my work-out stuff because I work out...and stuff.

  3. I like the green horse shirt, it's fun. I like MGMT as well, they are a pretty suh-weet band. I used to be all t-shirts, jeans, and converse. I'm glad I grew out of it, and now I'm on to flats. Maybe one day I will master heels, but probably not.

  12. Why are you wearing two purses hehe? I love this simple outfit! This is my days-off-of-my-blog outfit too--except I wear a cardigan and flats instead of a leather jacket and heels :) You're right that tshirt has a sweet simple silhouette!

  15. I love this! I don't think it looks plain at all. The T-Rex is cute, the jacket is edgy, and the shoes are such a contrast to the green. It's fantastic!!! :) I love.

  20. Very nice bowler bag! I can't handle structured bags like that very well, but you pull it off so well! I've also become inspired by your closet inventories (I'm a new follower, if you've included those for awhile now :)) - I need to keep a log of what I have in my closet/dresser as well, so that I WEAR all of my articles of clothing! Thanks.

  22. I'm I the only one who doesnt know what MGMT is? I love t-shirt and jeans maybe it's I'm a Mom and it's easier to run after them? Either way I like how you styled it.

  24. NOT BORING! I love the lime and red totally separate and not matching but still looking hot. The IDEA of this outfit is boring, you know, jeans and a t-shirt but let me break it down for you:
The shoes make it sexy, the jacket makes it tough, the skinnies make it hot, and the colors make it interesting. So this is a sexy, tough, hot, interesting outfit. So... not boring. :)

  34. Such a great outfit! But what I love most is that your work out bag is the most unathletic thing to carry tennies and sweaty workout clothes in. You are sly! No one would ever know where you are heading. I think you are really off for a quick romantic get away.
