Last Lovely Present

I've almost worn all of Chase's Valentine's presents!! I still have the truffles, chocolate bar, and roses. But that's not for you.

I was originally going to wear this with my J Brand jeans. But that's too predictable. I wore it with a skirt but UNTUCKED. I hate when people don't tuck in their shirts in skirts! It totally hides your curves and makes you look like a rectangle...and not in a good way. (Is there a good way?) But I broke my own rules today and did it...and liked it. So, I'm sorry people-who-don't-tuck-in-their-shirts-in-skirts. I was kind of wrong. It looks good on me.

Utah, you still have until tomorrow night to win a free photography session! Why wouldn't you from a woman who compares her fetus to fruit? That sounds gross but it's not. It's actually quite amazing.

  2. It definitely does look great untucked on your Elaine. :) Love all the goodies you got from your hunny for Vday!! You two are so cute. Ohmygosh, I know how you don't like being called cute, but does it also count when I'm referring to you and your hubby? Don't hate me!

Anyhoo, I love the skirt too.. I'm lovin' pleats lately. Well, hope you have a great weekend!

  4. it actualle does look good on you! My hips are so wide, that if I didn't tuck the shirt in I would look like a big rectangle!

  5. I think the untucked shirt with skirt looks better with a shorter skirt :) I love that striped top of yours (even though I have tons myself). Chase really really did a good job with your gifts! Weren't you freezing with the rain that came later on today? Ughhhhhhhh!

  6. I love your skirt. I felt the same way about an untucked shirt/skirt combo but you look really good!

  7. The untucked shirt looks really good on you! I think it totally depends on the material of the shirt whether to tuck or untuck a shirt! E.g. blouses are a must-tuck. (But of course I'm talking to the official rule breaker right? :) ) x

  12. I'm a big fan of the tucking in of the shirts, but sometimes I'll break that rule too for variety's sake. And you should have a chocolate giveway - I know that would go over well! Just a suggestion...

  13. Your sweetie did a super good job selecting clothing for gifts. Most men - not so much. I like all his choices and glad that you do too. This is really cute.

  14. Love the striped sweater. I don't think I can own enough of them! A good idea with the pleated skirt too!

  20. I don't always tuck, and you are forgiven ;)

Also, since I know how much the opinion of others affects your pet names for your husband, I like the name "C-baby". "C-baby" sounds like a sweet rapper name.

  23. i am so with you on the shirt tucked it. the one thing i hate about being pregnant is not being about to tuck my shirts in because all my skirts (and jeans) have a giant kangaroo pouch!! gotta love that! i need to send you an invite to my blog. i'll do that now:)

  24. Way to go on the untucked shirt! It looks great on you! Of course I might be biased since stripes are an obsession of mine...but I think this is a great way to make a skirt look a bit more casual.

  25. The skirt is definitely to delicate-looking to have that top tucked into it! Looks great.

  26. I'm an untucker. I feel fussy when my shirts are tucked. I actually wore an untucked striped shirt with a skirt yesterday, small world eh.

I guess it really depends on the top/skirt.. some just look good and some just don't. :)

  34. I found a wonderful denim dress from Kohl's (just go to kohls.com if there isn't a Kohls Department store in LA) It would be perfect for modest women because it is cute, flattering and the sleeves are capped. The dress can double as a short sleeve jacket. The dress also is knee length. It was 50 bucks and now it is 35 and the brand is Apt. 9.

I have a question for you - what do you do to give yourself a lift on "unpretty" days. I am having one of those days where I am feeling pretty unattractive even though I probably don't look as bad as I feel and I am about to go to church now! I just think that it is one of those days because the weather is not good, I have been studying and I had a pretty draining morning at church.

  35. You work the untucked look here really well. While it is nice to feel polished, sometimes I rather like feeling a bit unpolished. Also, I can't even tell you how Orthodox Jewish this outfit is- all you need is black tights and you would be the perfect well-dressed Jewish woman!

  36. It's fun seeing you wearing a different silhouette. Especially when it looks so great!

  40. This outfit looks great. I'm back and forth on the tucking. I guess it just depends on the shirt/skirt combo.

  41. The skirt is adorable. I love this combination -- I was planning on wearing a somewhat similar outfit tomorrow, so it's great that I got a preview with your look!
