Christmas Legs

This is what I wore when I tried to start my car this morning and it didn't. This is what I wore while I was sitting in the car trying to figure out how I'm going to get to work today. This is what I wore when I called my boss to tell her I couldn't come in today. This was what I wore when I realized today was also street cleaning day and we'll probably get a ticket because we can't move our car.

Then I went back home, changed back into my jammies, and went back to bed. I called my parents and my father-in-law. My dad made me call the tow truck and an auto shop because it's his car that he loaned to us and he probably loves it more than me. I was going to wait until Chase came home because it's "man stuff" but I did it! I did it all by myself! And then I took a nap.

  2. Oh gosh, I love the combination of the tights and skirt! I'm really into patterned skirts, but not quite brave enough to wear coloured tights just yet!

    Maybe one day :)

    Much love,

  5. Your day sounds pretty interesting, good job proving to them a woman can do just as much as a man!! :)

I love the title it really fits the red and green combo! That skirt is seriously cute and you got it for a good price! Love it!

  7. No one stopped to help a young woman so festively attired??? I'm surprised...and disappointed. Why don't people help each other anymore??? Those are great shoes--they look like high-heeled ruby slippers. Maybe a good witch will come along and help you tap into their special powers.

I've been out of commission for quite a while. Somehow I hurt my neck/shoulder/shoulder blade, so I've been mostly off-line...and whining. But 1) the post title grabbed my attention; and 2) I wanted to let you know people seem to like the winter header (now that they can see it fully, my old layout blocked most of it).

  8. Sooo yeah, seeing this post and pictures remind me how much of a colored tights kick (har har) I was on last year. And I was actually thinking of getting some new pairs of tights (possibly green!) soon. I'm seriously loving those tights! You don't see green tights all too often, unless someone is a man in tights aka Robin Hood. ;D

  9. I love how affordable your wardrobe is. I was staring at those shoes thinking HOW CUTE but I bet I could never afford them, and then BAM. JCPennys. You rock girl! And high five for handling the manly stuff.

  10. Every time I see that trench it makes me want to spend money I most definitely do not have.

  11. I don't like the green and red - but that is just me, and I know it is just me! The tones in the reds and green don't coordinate in my brain as the same palate as the skirt.

Sorry about car troubles, those are seriously the worst!

  12. Your legs remind me of the movie 'Amelie'. Have you watched it? You're so brave Elaine! Miss you :)

  13. I love waiting 'til the husband gets home to make him deal with "man stuff". I really do... feminists wouldn't like my house very much.
I'm also loving the red bow shoes ♥

  14. You realllly love those shoes, haha.

But I'm more in love with that skirt. It's been snowing like mad here, and I'd kill for a little touch of Spring. Plus, I love the green tights. It's really hard for me to find nice, truly opaque tights.

  19. If I were you, and the street cleaning people were coming, I would have stood outside and told them the car wasn't moving so I couldn't move to try to avoid the ticket :)

  20. I love these shoes. Love. But I stared at these pictures for 10 minutes trying to decide if I love them with the green tights. Final verdict? YES! I think I like them more with today's tights than with yesterday's bare legs! Either way, you're gorgeous lady!

  26. The colors here are wonderful, sometimes too many bright colors can cause clashes but this is perfectly put together. Good luck with your car, mines broken too, maybe they are conspiring against us?

  27. You are so funny, Elaine. I certainly dread those snow plowing days. It's such a hassle to keep track of what day and time they're plowing. Anyway, I love the unexpected color of the tights and shoes.

  28. Haha, I just did a post yesterday where I was lamenting all the color combo restrictions holidays have imposed on us, and also that most people don't wear red and yellow together cause then you look like a McDonald's superfan or a hot dog. And then I went ahead and wore red and yellow. So it's only appropriate that you backed me up by wearing red and green!
