Mixed Metals

Thursday, January 20, 2011
So I've had this dress for like a year but this is only my third time wearing it. I hate when that happens!!! Clothes are meant to be WORN, not stowed away in your closet. If they are, you should probably give them to me and I'll wear them once a year for you.

I decided to go simple but glitzy and glamorous because I am. I've been loving the look of layered necklaces lately. I even mixed metals! Eep!! I think most of you hate me now because I broke your rule.

I didn't belt it because it would just get in the way of my free lunch. I've always liked it unbelted. I just never had the right accessories before to make it what it is today:  perfect.

I love the way you wore the dress. SIMPLE. I like simple. These past couple of days I can't think of anything to wear. I look at my closet and think to myself "OMG I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO WEAR" but then I think of you and Kendi and all my other bloggy friends

I'm guilty of A LOT of things going unworn in my closet. I have way too many clothes and I don't pay enough attention to most of them. I'd offer them to you, but I'm a million times bigger than you! hehehe. :)

  22. That is a great dress, and you should wear it more often. Is it just me or does it have pockets? That would be spectacular.

  41. I love your style! What i mean by that is, I love how you wear your pieces!! In a previous post you said you need to get a new pair of shoes (refering to the one your inlaws purchased for you..) but, it makes it a reality that you are supposed to wear the things your purchase, if not what's the point of purchasing them. I have a few pieces in my closet that I am always picking out to wear, but put back. I'll be sure to start WEARING my pieces more!!

I love the necklaces, though! :)

  46. This is a great example of why they call them "statement necklaces" yours is adorable and transmits sophistication and elegance without being too stuffy! The necklace totally turned the outfit way cuter!

  57. You have the most amazing necklaces - the layered rule breaking looks amazing with the black dress.

I am about due a closet audit.. there is one skirt I could not possible give away but is way too small for me. So I wear that about three times a year and then not again until the ribcage bruising heals up :D Ok. I am exaggerating. A little.
