I didn't really like this outfit. The brown clogs are totally off. I would've much rather worn these sequin pumps instead. Somebody get them for me please? No? Chase's birthday is coming up so I think I'll get them for myself. My present to him is I'll be happy. Maybe I'll throw a kiss or two in there as well...for me, I mean.

This necklace is HUGE as a belt. I can't fold my arms or bend over without having it smack me in the face. It's like my ovaries exploded with yellow flowers. That means I'm fertile, right?

I'm wearing a Gap dress I snipped to be a top ($7), handmade necklace ($3), Forever 21 skirt ($6), and Target clogs (gift from my in-laws).

Shop: orange shirts, yellow belts
I actually really like the clogs! But the purple pumps are beautiful as well :)
ReplyDeleteBahahhahahah "like my ovaries exploded with yellow flowers."
ReplyDeleteWow.
Haha that is definitely a good idea to buy yourself a present when it's someone else's birthday :)
ReplyDeletei love the flower and the simplicity of it :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great outfit!! Do you make those belt/necklaces to sell?
ReplyDeleteJules, I've been thinking about it.. Email me and we can work out the details!
ReplyDeleteI like the clogs with this outfit! And hmm glitter pumps? Have you seen Pixie in Pumps tutorial? http://lolainred.blogspot.com/2011/01/diy-glitter-shoes-tutorial.html (sorry I tried to leave it as an html hyper link but the comment box wont let me)
ReplyDeletehahahaha the ovary comment killed me.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth were you able to find a skirt that reached your knees from Forever 21? I can almost never find any skirt that long. When I do, it doesn't fit.
ReplyDeleteJust Better Together is having a giveaway!
Ohh those Forever 21 pumps are dreamy! I die for sequins! I bet your hubby would understand.
ReplyDeletelove that bright coral top on you! especially in contrast with the black. looks great!
ReplyDeletei actually really like this outfit with the shoes, you can't really tell they're brown because they're so dark, i think maybe if they had been a lighter shade it would have been different but these look great...and those sequin pumps are amazing!
ReplyDeleteps. did you get my email?

Simple and classic. I love the pop of color with the pencil skirt! This might have to be my inspiration for work tomorrow (yes, I have to go to work tomorrow sadly!!).

i actually love the shoes with the whole look--it's so simple and california!
ReplyDeleteI can picture that belt-necklace with a fluffy semisheer shirt maybe a close shade:D It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteBest,

The yellow flowers pop so much and they look really good with the coral color. It's a creative and really classy way to make a belt! Oh and yes, I agree with Elle Enchanted's comment, that tutorial is genius! try it out! :)

very cute clogs from target...I want these. XO Lisa
ReplyDeleteI like it with the clogs! You can always add glitter to shoes you rarely wear.
ReplyDeleteI had to giggle when you said your necklace was huge as a belt b/c for some reason it made me imagine your neck as larger than your waist. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the coral and yellow together and the clogs photograph dark, so looks great on the interwebs at least!
Great idea with this birthday present for your husband. He`ll be so happy :)
ReplyDeleteAnd those clogs are great. I am so jealous that you can wear them in January.

I think those clogs go with EVERYTHING!!! Including your outfit for today. I recently had a shoe binge and you can read about it here - http://whatwouldsujudo.blogspot.com/2011/01/lots-and-lots-of-shoes.html#links
ReplyDeleteAt least a shoe binge doesn't expand my waistline even if it does affect my bottom line. Hahaha!
I love your belt :-)

ReplyDeletewow those target clogs are actually super cute and expensive looking! I like them a lot. xx
ReplyDeleteYou always claim you're not tall or thin, but these pics tell a different story.
ReplyDeleteFor our anniversary one year, I gave my wife a replacement wedding ring for me--she had accidentally sent the original down the bathroom sink's drain.
I love this look. I was wondering what you were on about and then I clicked the link to the shoes and suddenly I (a) understood and (b) had an overwhelming need for sequinned heels.
ReplyDeleteYou look fab. Also, "It's like my ovaries exploded with yellow flowers" may be the quote of the month. If not, the year.
Ooooo, ooo are we allowed to get ourselves presents for our HUSBANDS' birthdays? PERFECT. My hubby's is at the end of this month and I already know what I want!
ReplyDeleteIf he complains, I'm sending him your way. ;)
