I wore this yesterday. Only for a few hours because I left work early. We took some Mormon missionaries to an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant and I think a few uncooked meats may have fallen into my mouth accidentally. I don't know. It all happened so fast.

Have you entered my brand-spankin'-new giveaway yet? YES. Another one. I know. I'm awesome. Follow my blog on the left for an extra entry and let me know here...that is, after you've done the mandatory entry. I don't accept cheaters. Only pumpkin eaters.

I'm wearing a Forever 21 hoodie ($10), thrifted Gap shirt ($4), JCPenney necklace (free with gift cards), Old Navy belt ($10), Forever 21 skirt ($6), and Target clogs (gift from my in-laws).

Lovely simple outfit :) I love it!

I looooove me a good hoodie. And goodness, every time I see you wear that gorgeous rhinestone necklace it makes me want to buy one... I had to resist the urge BIG time today at Urban Outfitters! Love it so much!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that skirt you're wearing. and the way you looped your belt!

It embarrasing how many hoodies I own. So yes :) But you and Tania are sure making them chic! Love it with the denim shirt!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your necklace!
ReplyDeleteI think you look cute in the hoodie. I love the necklace though, swoon.

I like the contrast between the relaxed "recreational" vibe of the hoodie and your sophisticated, classy, work outfit underneath. I haven't worn a hoodies in years! I used to collect them like people collect stamps. They're just so comfy!
ReplyDeleteI am kinda of a sucker for hoodies. I was even thinking of putting one in my 30 for 30....but I decided against it!! haha
ReplyDeleteBut you somehow make it look ok!

How nice of you to take the missionaries out! They're the best aren't they? Seeing missionaries always makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteI love those shoes by the way. Target is amazing.
Yeah, I wish hoodies could be chic but it's something I have to live with. I can't believe your chambray top is thrifted, that makes me mad at my thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteMy Heart Blogged
I just love hoodies. And since I work in an office where casual wear is the norm, I can get away with a hooded shirt once in a while.
ReplyDeleteThe hoody really suits you. The jumper does look really warm. I've given up on fashion this winter and am just in hoodies!
ReplyDeleteI love how you paired it with a more professional outfit. I love the shoes.
I follow on bloglovin! Love the idea of mixing a hoodie with dressy
ReplyDeleteYou are such a rebel :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the skirt with that top!!! I think the hoodie looks good with the outfit :P Maybe not all the time, but sometimes its fun to wear hoodies, haha

I love the combination of the hoodie with a more dressed-up, ladylike outfit.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I haven't worn a hoodie in forever! I actually just threw one in my Goodwill bag, but now that I see how cute you look in yours, I may have to pull mine back out . . . it's hoodie remixin' time!

ReplyDeletegoodie hoodie!
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice of you to take the missionaries out to eat. :)I don't think I could eat uncooked meat.
ReplyDeleteI recently got rid of all of my hoodies. Tania, of course does one heck of a job styling hers in layers, I just don't think I could work it in a business-casual situation.

I have a few hoodies that I classify as my 'mom clothes' and wear around. I bet those Missionaries LOVED the all you can eat!! You guys are so nice, I miss feeding them since we moved back to Utah!
ReplyDeleteI never know how to wear hoodies without looking like I'm on my way to the gym.. so I love this idea of topping a more formal outfit with it.
ReplyDeleteYou are really beautiful. I've fallen in love with your GAP shirt <3
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a zippered hoodie in quite a while. My hoodies are pullovers. I wear them a lot because I get cold in the house waaay too easily.
ReplyDeleteAnother great outfit! I love your denim shirt tucked into your pencil skirt, love it! I like throwing a hoodie into the mix, it lends edge and insouciance to an outfit. TGIF Elaine! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit- I think that I have been getting inspiration for your blog because I just put an outfit like that together yesterday. The button-down with the skirt + belt. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLife As I See It.
I had so many hoodies in high school, and then a few years ago I turned anti-hoodie. In fact, I am pretty anti-activewear in general, unless its being worn for exercise. But lately I've been yearning again for a plain zip-up sweatshirt. Why does fashion do this to me? Just when I think I've made up my mind to banish a style, it starts worming its way back into my heart!

I love hoodies. But I'm with you on the recreational aspect of it. You look cute and all in this outfit but it doesn't really seem to be "you". It reminds me of what the teenage girls around here wear to church. BTW, I'd really like to see you post more casual pics of what you wear when you're just hangin' out. I could use some inspiration on how to be cute while just hangin' out with the fam.
ReplyDeleteI occasionally hoodie. but only it happens to be attached to a cardigan.
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
I looove hoodies, along with sneakers. Obviously I dont have a very good fashion sense X)
ReplyDeleteLol! Your "cheater, pumpkin eater" cracked me up!...don't think I've heard that for years ;)
ReplyDeleteI love it when you wear anything jean! the color looks SO good on you. great outfit :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you turned me on to Tania. I'm loving her! Thanks!
ReplyDeletelove this! genius....a formal way of wearing the denim shirt! Have to try this <3

Love your outfit. I think the shirt and skirt combo you have there looks so great. I'll have to find a shirt like that to go with my black pencil skirt.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of hoodies. I bought one once, still have it, not sure if I ever wore it. I do like the way you have it styled. I think the color ties it all together.
