Yesterday, Kendi posted this outfit. And today I copied her. We're totally twins, except I'm not white. (Only on the inside.) If you didn't know already, she has my pants. And by my pants I mean she got herself a pair from Anthropologie too. It'll be nice to get some more ideas on how to wear these baggy-crotch-diaper-man-pants. That's what I would have named them if I were them.

What? Didn't you know cool people have one pant leg higher than the other? (I am implying that I am cool...and I am.)

You guys, I discovered the most amazing hair routine ever. On the first day, I did this to my hair. The second day I curled it (hurriedly). And for today, I put it in a pony. Try it. It's fool-proof and easy! Nobody will ever know you didn't wash your hair for three days. ...Maybe one or two will notice.

I'm wearing a JCPenney trenchcoat (free with gift cards), Gap turtleneck ($19), Anthropologie pants (free with gift cards), JCPenney rhinestone necklace (free with gift cards), JCPenney cluster necklace (free with gift cards), and JCPenney heels (free with gift cards).

I've said it before and I'll say it again - those pants are amazing! Oh, how I would love to get my hands on a pair of those! (Though, I doubt I'd be able to work them like you do!)
ReplyDeleteAnd nice hair routine! That's about what I used to do when I actually had hair to work with, haha. I guess the nice thing about a pixie cut is I can just wash it, comb it and go.
What a fabulous outfit, I love those pants!
ReplyDeletei love the pants! it has such organic feel to it, yet so polished! nicely styled!
ReplyDeletehappy new years lady!
xx
Haha! I love getting by with not washing my hair everyday. It make my hair fall out!
ReplyDeleteJust Better Togeher
I love that she copied you, and then you copied her again hehe! I love blog friendships! You look amazing! I don't think I'd be able to pull off those pants nearly as well as you do. I love the necklace you paired with it too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm drooling over those pants. Actually over your whole outfit. I love the pop of color from those shoes!
ReplyDeleteYou can always tell the day after I wash my hair because it's curled! You've got to love those tricks.

I looove the idea that you guys are openly copying each other! We should make it a thing... like copy me Wednesdays or something like that where you wear an outfit and people can send lookalikes to be posted on clothed much! :D ok just an idea but I love the different interpretations of the same thing! You are quickly becoming one of my favorite bloggers girl! Woohooooo! :D

Your pants are gorgeous! I wish I could wear pants that well - amazing.

Free with gift cards is not a prize!
ReplyDeletethose pants look amazing on you! this outfit looks so classy complete with the trench! and awesome hair routine. i go through something similar! haha
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! And thanks for pointing us to Kendi's blog!
ReplyDeleteGreat pair of pants! And so perfect with those shoes, too! ^^

I have a similar hair routine if I'm wearing it curly. I can't go more than a few days though without washing it. When it's straight on the other hand... watch out! It's criminal how long I go between hair washing. Not showers though, that I do everyday!
ReplyDeleteThe pants are gorgeous
ReplyDeleteYou wear them so well
Just found your blog from Kendi Everyday, and loveeee your blog soo much.
ReplyDeleteFunny and honest!
love the whole outfit especially the shoes (and also the pants but that goes without saying), which has brightened up many outfits too in the previous post of yours (yep, I did click older few times and still doing that).

I think those pants are adorable on you, and Kendi! But I'm positive that they actually would look like I was wearing a diaper! I think I could recreate the look with a cute paperbag skirt or something and I could be your and Kendi's step-sister. :)
ReplyDeleteElaine--I wish that I were slender enough to pull this look off. You are rocking those "diaper man pants"! Love it!
ReplyDeletesundryelements.blogspot.com
You totally pull off those pants! If I did that hair routine, people would be smelling me before they saw me!
ReplyDeleteLove the pants ... they look really good on you! x
ReplyDeleteI love those pants. I'm a little envious of both you and Kendi because I don't have the body shape to pull it off with such panache. Also, I'm envious because I must wash my hair daily or it would be gross-looking. Ew. Love the copy-catty looks!

You look so cute. I don't think I could wear those pants but they look great on you. Oh, and I saw your shoes posted yesterday and ordered them for myself. Love the color! Thanks for helping me spend the money I don't have. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious of your ability to wear pants like that. I would feel like I had too much bulk going on down there--my hips are like whoa.
ReplyDeleteYou styled them well.

I really like those pants. Super stylish!
ReplyDeleteI have similar pants. Cute outfit, doll!
ReplyDeleteƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
Ahhh, I need those pants! Only, for cheap. Like, $20? They really are perfect.
ReplyDeletebaggy-crotch-diaper-man-pants ..I have a jumpsuit that I feel the exact same way about..it's like a saggy diaper haha
ReplyDeleteLoving this look. The pants fit so well. And your necklace adds just the right amount of a something extra.
ReplyDeleteI saw Kendi's post earlier, you both did this outfit good!
Hey, Reckless Mind
Classy.
ReplyDeleteThose pants were a REALLY good purchase. And you know what they say, imitation is a form of flattery. ;)

Its a great outfit! I follow Kendi´s blog too and you guys give me a lot of tips about how to remix my clothes.I am planning on copying your outfit tomorrow, I have a pair of similar pants (Zara) and a cute necklace from NY&Co!
ReplyDeleteYou look great in those pants! I wish I was confident enough to try something similar.
ReplyDeleteyou're looking so fancy, miss elaine! i love it! no shame in copying...you're in different states! shoot, i copy my friends who are also in rexburg. woooops.
ReplyDeleteI follow the same hair routine :) Especially if I blow it out - then I will make it last for 4 days :).
ReplyDeleteLOVE the outfit and how you styled those pants! So awesome! And you are sooo funny too :)
Small Time Style
I do that all the time with my hair... Shhh!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Those pants are fantastic and I'm really digging them all rolled up! Duh, one pant leg higher than the other is the coolest.
LOL. You just let us all know that you don't wash your hair for 3 days. Btw, it's good for your hair..I heard..unless you smell like curry.
ReplyDeleteGood look on you. So posh and professional. LOVE.
You and Kendi both totally rock these pants. I think I need them. Now.
ReplyDeleteKristine. Or Polly.
Oh yeah, and I probably only wash my hair about once or twice a week. Except I tease it the first couple days... I've found that if your roots are a little bit away from your scalp, it doesn't get oily as quickly. And baby powder works, too.
ReplyDeleteKristine. Or Polly.
Great outfit! You're starting 2011 with such a mature style, love it ;)
ReplyDeleteslightly gross... I like it
ReplyDeleteThe pants are a really new look on you. Me likey! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSince I have short hair I don't have to worry about these kind of hair issues anymore. Now it only sticks up in all directions (successfully denying the force of gravitiy). So I have to wash it every morning. Or wear a hat. I like hats now ;-)

you pull of the trousers so well! i love them.
ReplyDeleteand i am all for hair routines-- i wash at night, low side-ish knot/bun the next day. curl and down next day (and next if i want), heidi braids or updo the next (and the next, but switch parts to the other side because it's cleaner)...i try to stretch it as many washes as possible!
I love those pants! And shoes and necklace. You look really stunning in this outfit!
ReplyDeletematchy, matchy, green squared...do you know it?
ReplyDeletep.s. i totally just checked out beso and i wish i would have at the beginning of the this pregnancy...it's like everything you could ever want to look at in one place and i don't have to go searching all over the stupid internet for it!
those baggy pants are quite amazing, but of course they are. You and Kendi have them! Can't wait to see what you do with them!
ReplyDeletehahaha I love you and Kendi- you guys are hilarious. and this is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh noes! It's an endless cycle of copying! :)
ReplyDeleteKendi is great and I always "leave" her blog feeling inspired. She keeps everything simple and doable. (As do you!)
Feel free to keep copying each other. I will just glean more inspiration. :)
How do you do it? You continually take pieces so out of the ordinary and make them completely FABULOUS. Linked to you in my most recent blog post all about these pants.
ReplyDeletehttp://arrayofanthro.blogspot.com/2011/01/pants.html
Summary: You make these pants rock, I made them suck.
Your pants rock!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteGirl. Those pants are bangin. I am inspired!
ReplyDeleteI love these pants and the simple top with the extra bling really sets them off. I love your fashion sense.
ReplyDeleteYou and Kendi certainly know how to rock those pants! I would be hopelessly confused. I love the pops of sparkle and color in your outfit!
ReplyDeleteI love you guys and your swapping. But how is Kendi going to copy this? Oh yeah, one trouser leg higher than the other. Hee hee.
ReplyDeletegaaahh! i love your pants!!! not so much with the trench though, i don't think it goes, but hey if you do then i guess it's ok :)
ReplyDeleteI am still lusting after these pants regardless of the old man saggy diaper middle - they still look damn cute!
ReplyDeleteHa you and Kendi are definitely twinsies! And yay to not having to wash your hair for 3 days! Your head will thank you... seriously my hair is so much happier when I don't wash it everyday it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteyou look good in those pants! i think it's cause you have some hips to go with it. i'm quite hipless so i wouldn't dare buy something like that lol. who knows, could be my fashion risk.. hehe
ReplyDeleteI follow Kendi too! love your necklace - it seems to go with almost anything! : )

greaaaat pants.
ReplyDeleteI love your trench coat! I have a similar one but it's from H&M.
ReplyDeletei love the copy-cat routine y'all are doing:) its always fun to get inspiration from each other:)

I love how you can wear the same thing but look different. Oh, and I miss my long hair because I didn't have to wash it nearly as much. Styling your hair is overrated.
ReplyDeleteMy Heart Blogged
the pants look great sashed on the side.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a classy outfit and you pull it off to perfection.
ReplyDeleteLove your style<3
Those pants are niceeeee. i loved them the minute i saw them!
ReplyDeleteYour hair trick rules. I couldn't tell that you hadn't washed it for three days, I swear. My hair is so thick and wavy, I hardly ever wash it... I don't even know what shampoo is for anymore. :P
ReplyDeleteAnd you can pull off those diaper-man-crotch-whatever-baggy pants (think I messed that up, whoopsies) because you are so skinny! I'm kinda skinny, too, but I would look ridiculous in those! I admire you for rocking them... You've got balls, girl! I mean, um, not literally (though you are in baggy man pants... hehe. Kidding! Don't hate me!). ^_^
I am jealous that you can pull off pants like that!
ReplyDeleteI have actually missed a lot of your posts...whahahah and I didn't know you are the new account coordinator...woopzies will try my luck again for the shopzilla account oh well...maybe soon when I am already cleared from my current work and a long break perhaps to get me full time with blogging...
ReplyDeleteI so love the outfits your are posting from the day I miss reading your posts...sorry about that Elaine...I know I am such a bad blogger hahaah!!!
Kisses my dear
