Almost a Tux But Not

My sequin blazer came out to play. I have trouble styling this bad boy. I keep leaning towards black on the bottom and pops of color and I've already done that here. I'm thinking yellow pants is next on my list. Yellow is versatile, right? At least it would look hot with this blazer.

I didn't want to wear a skirt but I was having a fat-legs-day. Squeezing into a pair of skinny jeans was the last thing on my mind. I went with a fancy tuxedo theme but didn't want to make it too fancy so I wore a graphic t-shirt underneath. I like the mix of fancy and casual. If I buttoned my blazer, I'd be ready for a night out on the town! And by night out on the town I mean Chase and I are going to Penney's to get some exercise clothes because we're getting fat...especially me for eating free food and sitting all day.

Does this not look like a first-day-of-school picture? It's not. It's my 10th-day-of-work picture. You don't do those? You're so weird.

Yellow pants? You remind me of a bee. I don't like bees. Not saying that I don't like you, but I just don't like bees. Maybe you will change my mind about the black and yellow clothing combo. Bring it! =]

  8. I'm laughing at the idea of you having a fat-leg day. You have lovely and tiny legs. I can't even pull skinny pants up over my large legs! I think those heels are my favorite shoes of yours. I love them with all your outfits!

  10. I love this look! I own quite a few blazers, but it never occurred to me to wear them with a skirt. Maybe because I thought it would be too skirt-suit looking? Lovely and modest (which, to me, is important!).

  22. I love the blazer, and yellow pants ARE versatile!

Random question: I've seen you list some 2nd hand clothes you have, but where do you buy them? Do you have any tips on finding them? I've tried a few times, and I can't seem to find things like you do (like your classy 2nd hand $9 Gap jeans from a few posts ago).

    Thanks! Aubrey

oh and as to your question on my blog, i can't decide which outfit i liked the best, i guess whichever one makes me look less like a bum and more fashionable :P
