If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you already know I won $100 from Suddenly Darling to any store!!! If not, you should probably start following me...because I know you want to know the daily trivialities of my life...because I'm so exciting. So the store I picked is Anthropologie. Where else would $100 get you next to nothing? I also have a $25 gift card that I won from Lisa over the summer. I haven't used it yet because $25 will only get me one button from that store and I'm too cheap to spend my own money. Now that I have $125 to spend there, I don't know if I should stretch it or splurge it on one item. Well, here are some of my current faves... Cast your votes. I may or may not buy the highest voted item.
Shoess!!! Those shoes are so frickin' adorable! Or maybe the paisley sweater.. it looks sooo pretty on the model. Okay I didn't help at all.
ReplyDeletethe cute skirt on the left! love the lace details and goes with a lot of shades.
ReplyDeleteI love that orange jacket! So unique! Go for it! Perfect XMAS present for yourself! :)

Anthropology is a good store.
ReplyDeleteughhhhhh. I'm with you on ANYTHING anthro. Walked into their store [with full knowledge that it was a horrible idea because of my covetous nature] even their sale items are way out of my price range. i couldn't even afford an apron. Alas, the pitiful life of a college student. I bid you good luck on your endeavor of anthro bliss.
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt with lace at the bottom, but then again, all of the items you chose are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI think the skirt with the lace detail. I can see you styling that up and getting an amazing amount of wear out of it. Alternatively, the boots could become your new go-to pair. Your call. Have fun spending it.
ReplyDeleteI would narrow it down to the boots or sweater because they're both very unique. The skirts are gorgeous but for the price you might as well snag some statement pieces, especially since you're using a gift card.
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes!
ReplyDeletelucky you! I love thwe boots!
ReplyDeleteWell, you already have those adorable Tsubo shoes that are perfect and go with everything! You have that amazing skirt that you made yourself(very anthropologieish I thought). I would get the cardi if I were you. The color would look so great with your skin tone and the style would be very flattering. You could mix it with pants/skirts/dresses with your creative styling skills! Whatever you choose, enjoy and congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteElaine, you know I love me some Anthro so um thrilled that you'll be buying something from there. I really like the black skirt with the lace, but if you want to buy multiple items, they're having a 25% additional discount to all sale items, and next week there's rumored to be a tag sale. Good luck and have fun shopping!
ReplyDeleteThe black skirt could be knocked off easily- I say sweater or shoes!
ReplyDeletethe orange zippered jacket. i would pair it with you ikea print skirt. which is my fave thing you own.
ReplyDeletethe shoes!! the skirts and the jacket are cute, but those shoes are AMAZING :D <3
ReplyDelete(p.d: i love you blog, you are amazing, also)
I agree...def the shoes, all the other stuff will go on sale, but the shoes always sell out first.
ReplyDeleteOkay here are my 2 cents. The orange thing looks like my grannys towel from the 70s, the lace if the shoes is going to break soon . The blue skirt is pretty but you have a similar colored one already, so this leaves the red skirt. Do you have enough shirts that an go with it?
ReplyDeleteThe Darjeeling skirt and the shoes are my favorites. Love them. The only way I could ever afford Anthro is by winning gift cards too. I am both too poor and too cheap to shop there.
ReplyDeleteShoes are more flexible in outfits! Get the shoes, they're sooo cute.
ReplyDeleteOh my lord, I have not seen that orange coat prior to this post and now I don't think I can go on living without it. Please, please buy it so I can live vicariously through you each time you wear it! SO PRETTY! :)
ReplyDeleteYou seem to really like that gray skirt from Korea, so maybe the black lacey skirt would be good to add into the rotation, since it's a similar silhouette.
ReplyDeleteShoes or the sweater... I mean, those are awesome.
ReplyDeleteoooh! That's a tough one, both skirts are so fab! I think I like the one with the red and black a little more though.
ReplyDeleteI'd buy the skirt on the bottom left. Although the shoes are insanely cute... they might not be in "style" in a few years. Considering the prices of anthropologie, I'd pick something that would last longer than a few seasons- like a black and cream skirt. They're all adorable, though. I love anthropologie.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the bottom right skirt! :D

that jacket!
ReplyDeleteI love the orange jacket!
ReplyDeleteI vote the black and flower skirt or the orange jacket. I don't like the shoes one bit, but that is just me.
ReplyDeleteShoes, or the skirt on the left!

The sweater looks very much like your style and I could easily see you in this, and in a million different outfits, but the shoes are really cool and different--in case you are caving something a little funky.
ReplyDeleteShoes or the black and cream skirt! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the black and cream skirt would integrate beautifully into your wardrobe, but the orange sweater with the gorgeous architectural/asymmetrical detail would work as a rich statement piece. And with your coloring, orange would look smashing!
ReplyDeletethe shoes!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAll are amazing, but I think especially the orange sweater. Especially on you. How exciting!
ReplyDeleteI love the orange jacket. It would be good for work or can be worn on weekends w/ jeans. Congrats on the win!
ReplyDeleteThe shoes or the jacket for sure!
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are more versatile of course (being brown), but the jacket...oh my. So gorgeous.
I didn't help either. HAHA!
The shoes are definitely my favorite. Jealous of your free money! I noticed on the website that sale items are an additional 25% off right now... So if you like to shop clearance, that may be a way to make your money go farther.
ReplyDeleteOoooh nice. I just vote for whatever you'd wear most often, but definitely splurge and get one expensive item! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the first skirt!
ReplyDeletethe shoes! they are gorgeous! and i could see you rock them with a number of your outfit combos!
ReplyDeleteThe red coat! The red coat!
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine,
ReplyDeleteI have some suggestion to give .. trust me 125 dollars is lot of money to spend in anthropologie . I had same view as u until 6 months back :) .. until i started noticing there sales and mark downs .. everything is mark down eventually … i almost spend more than 50 dollars o a dress from anthropologie .. infact most of the dresses and cardigan's which u see on my blog are 30 or 40 each [ may be 33 or 44 including 10% CA tax :) ] ..skirt 20 ish each and I am not lying !!!! once in a while i spurge and drop 50 or 60 or 70 on a dress or cardigans .. but I can count them on my finger tips very few .. u got ur gift card at a very good time …. anthropology will have lot of sale during this time and after holidays .. all the winter stuff will be marked down .. the catch is that these deals are available only in stores not online … i would advise u not to buy shoes .. since shoes in anthropologie tend to be expensive even after sale … u get good deal on clothing because they are in-house brands or at-least not of them …
I hope it helps ;; let me know if u need any more info or have questions :) .. if i were in So Cal .... i would have loved to come with u and help u get those deals :)

My vote is 100% on the darjeeling skirt. Love it♥
ReplyDeleteOh pick the gorgeous Darjeeling skirt! So I can live vicariously through you when you post it on here :)
ReplyDeleteLovely jacket!
ReplyDeleteƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
Ohh the black lace skirt!!!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness i LOVE those shoes!!! ♥
ReplyDeletedefinitely either the shoes or sweater. like some other girlies said, the skirts are super cute, but not quite as unique.
ReplyDeletelove the lace skirt!! you could wear that all seasons!
ReplyDeleteI think that skirt would be great on you! I love Anthropologie, but tend to only be able to afford it if I shop the sales. Right now, the sales are pretty big, so that $125 could get you something extra-special!
ReplyDeleteThe black lace skirt, my favorite. Or maybe wait for a while I can sew similar for you ;)
ReplyDeleteicoulddothis.blogspot.com
I absolutely adore Antrhopologie!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the orange blazer! I have found some incredible pieces at Anthropologie in the clearance section of the store. Out of all of my Anthro pieces, the sale ones that were under $100 have gotten the most compliments! You just can't beat the quality of their clothing to other stores. So exciting you have a gift card! Happy spending! :)
that orange coat is unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteThe gorgeous, beautiful schoes!!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely go to their sale section! I'd even advise going to one on a Tuesday, if you can, as that's when they mark stuff down.
ReplyDeleteOh, and they have 25% off all sale items today.
ReplyDeleteBoots, I am ALL for the boots!
ReplyDeleteDEfinitely the skirt on the left. You coulod wear it a million different ways. Super cute.
ReplyDeletethe boots are adorable!
ReplyDeletethat jacket is pretty awesome. but i could totally see you rocking those booties too. i vote jacket, it's too amazing.
ReplyDeleteNo question about it, id go with the jacket!! I love jackets and that orange one is pretty awesome!

I like the skirt on the lower right, but the one on the lower left looks more like you.
ReplyDeleteThe orange blazer or the black lace skirt.
ReplyDeleteI hate the fact that $125 wont get you very much there!
Chic on the Cheap
pick the shoeees!
ReplyDeleteWow, it seems everyone has an opinion on one item. I hope it helps! I say: stretch if possible, skip splurge.
ReplyDeleteThat orange jacket is so fabulous! My question is how do you get so lucky? you win so many awesome giveaways. I'm always entering them but never won anything as fabulous as this or the jcp gift certificate... LUCKY YOU!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe black skirt with lace is my first choice and the orange jacket is my second.
ReplyDeleteI'm really not feeling those shoes.
Def the jacket!!

The jacket! No question. It's so versatile and would instantly jazz up EVERYTHING! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI had the same dilemma recently when a friend got me a $50 Anthro gift card. Do I spend the gift card, plus nearly $100 of my own money for one skirt/dress/sweater, or try to get stuff on the cheap? In the end, I headed for the clearance section and got a cute cardigan and a ruffled tank--both cost a total of $61, so I ended up with two fun new Anthro items for $11. You have more to spend, but you might want to check out the clearance section first to see what your options are before dropping everything on one item.
ReplyDeleteThose lace insert booties are perfection! Such an unexpected feminine touch!
ReplyDeleteshooooooooooooooooooooes. duh!!
ReplyDeletethat red jacket is SO stunning!
ReplyDeleteDEFINITELY the lace skirt.
ReplyDeleteJacket. All the way.
ReplyDeleteAnthro is supposed to have a big sale coming up this Thu, so I my vote is to wait until then and high tail it to a store to see what great deals you can score for your winnings! ;o)
ReplyDeleteDitto ... wait for the sale! I have gotten the most amazing deals there during sales. Also, most of the clothes at the sale are teeny-tiny sizes made for cute little mice like you. You sure made that JC Penny card stretch ... let's see how much you can get with this one!
ReplyDeleteI think you would wear the cream/black skirt more, but I'd love to see you incorporate that orange jacket! It's a stunner!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, things at Anthro go on sale frequently - but they also sell out REALLY fast before they even get to the sale. I lost out on 2 pieces from there this year because I was "waiting for the sale."
