It is rainy and dreary outside. Chase and I are going out to dinner for some Indian food tonight...one of my faves - the aftermath, not so much. I'll probably change out of this for something warmer. I'm obviously an idiot for wearing SANDALS in DECEMBER. But I thought I lived in sunny California?? Pout.

I'm wearing another Christmas present... I got this cardigan from my sister-in-law. She knows me so well...or she reads my blog a lot :). Either way, I love it! Buy one for yourself here as a late Christmas present/early New Years present. What? You don't do New Years presents? I just started it. It'll be a new tradition...just for me.

I'm wearing a Forever 21 cardigan (Christmas gift from my sister-in-law), JCPenney earrings (free with gift card), Gap shirt ($12), J Brand jeans ($158), and Target clogs (Christmas gift from my in-laws).
Only you can make a button down and cardi look so stylish.
ReplyDeleteYour humor is amazing and I am a new follower. I definitely appreciate a fashion blogger out here who is graceful with their money. Wooo hoooo!
ReplyDeletePS. Apparently your in laws are amazing! :)
You're so brave to wear sandals in the rain!! Love the colour of the cardigan :) x
ReplyDeleteyou look gorgeous! i love those shoes so much that i'm constantly resisting buying them online after seeing them on you.
ReplyDeleteugh this rain here in california is annoying me :( i'd rather it just be super cold...not wet and cold! ugh! but you look so cute in this chic outfit--it's so simple, but i love it so much! your in-laws have good taste!
ReplyDeleteUgh you're making my feet cold too. But I second the New Year's gifts movement.
ReplyDeleteI really, really do love those clogs. Hope your Indian food is delish and the aftermath is negligible!!
ReplyDeleteLeaving the House in THIS?!?!
Those are the cutest clogs... hmm, maybe wearable with socks considering the wet weather? I might look for a pair next time I'm at Target...
ReplyDeleteWe just came from the Sacramento area to Montereyyyy, and it's just nice and breezy here. :) But the sandals look super cute. Fashion over comfort, ladies. lol.
ReplyDeleteEven if your feet were cold, rest assured that you looked great anyway! I love those clogs.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute cardigan, and I love the giant umbrella!
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute, Elaine! Those Target clogs look so great! Also, I totally almost bought a white button up yesterday because I thought about how you're always looking so great in them! Unfortunately, it didn't work on me. :(
ReplyDeleteYour feet may be freezing, but dang girl you look super cute. I love those shoes. I wish I had a similar pair.

PS - My dad had New Year's gifts--he didn't open his Christmas presents until New Year's day.

ReplyDeleteYour in laws are the best! You look happy for being in the rain at least :)

ReplyDeleteMy sis-in-law reads my blog too, and we kind of have similar tastes. I love it when she buys me stuff and always gets it right! Ah, one of the perks of marriages :)
ReplyDeleteMost beautiful girl in the rain I've ever seen LAWL. I love your umbrella.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I've been to California it has been cold. I don't believe the sun shines there on a consistent basis! I love the look and would even wear it hear in Utah (snow not withstanding). You have a great sense of style.
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say Elaine..your simple outfits are the best!
ReplyDeleteAnd this looks amazing with the clogs. I used to wear my ballet flats last winter - smart me. So I understand what you're going through, hehe!
Love, Diana
Although you might have been freezing, you look great!
ReplyDeleteWish I could wear sandals in dec too, its freezing here
ReplyDeleteat least you're still wearing sandals, I miss my sandals :( xx
ReplyDeleteNo pain, no gain? Those sandals are amazing and it was totally worth it from where I am sitting (but it wasn't my feet). I look forward to seeing them again when you will be warmer in them.
ReplyDeleteI love those sandals. I'm always envious of you for being able to wear open-toe shoes in winter since I stop wearing them around September :( 6 more months and I'll wear mine again *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are great, I tried to wear open toe shoes yesterday and a few days before that there was a blizzard... not my smartest moment :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I love everything about this because it's simple, but in a good way. I've been getting really into these types of outfits lately.
ReplyDeleteSince I plan on using this and another one of your outfits for inspiration, would it be all right if I credited you and linked your post from my page?
