A Promise is a Promise

So remember when I went to maurices that one time? Yeah, me neither. But here is the sequin blazer I promised to show you guys a year ago. (Ohemgee, I look like I'm 12 in that post.)

You guys.. I'm wearing JEANS. Totally taboo at work unless it's Casual Friday and Friday it was not. I'm such a rebel...and so fired. Jessica, please don't fire me... After being sick for a week, I was not ready to put on a skirt or dress. I tried to mask the jean-ness with a blazer. This one wasn't black enough. (That sounded racist but it's not.) This one was too big. So, of course, sequins were my only option. I added the black heels to make it more businessy (because I am, duh) and the orange and pink to make it more fun. Still not sure if it's work-appropriate. I did get a lot of Michael Jackson references. Man... I should've worn white socks.

I'm wearing a maurices sequin blazer ($18), Gap dress I snipped to be a top ($7), reworked JCPenney necklace (free with gift card), J Brand jeans ($158), JCPenney bag (free with gift card), and thrifted Nine West heels ($3).

Get this look:  jeansbag. Also... No more Shopstyle ads! They were adding to the pageload time. I think. I don't know. They were time-consuming and I made like $.05 a day anyway.

Didn't even notice you were wearing jeans. Or are they jeggings? ;)

I don't think black jeans count as jeans. They are definitely office appropriate!

And I come from an office where you can't wear jeans ever! I totally "slip up" sometimes.

Elaine- I now not only envy your ability to constantly make new outfits, but now that sequin blazer too. I'm so in love.

I bought that sequined jacket from Maurices, but recently donated it to the local Goodwill because I couldn't figure out what in the world to wear it with. You made it work. Bravo.

Ooooh you look great!!!!! Well at least they aren't normal jeans so its okay ;)
I always (well not always...but at least once a week) wear jeans to work. When I dress up I look out of place because everyone dresses real casual here, haha

That is a nice sequin blazer, though! I don't work in an office (just at home), so I can pretty much be in my PJs all day and earn money lol. No jeans to work I can understand, but no pants? Is that true at your work?

I think you did a great job in hiding the jeans-ness, I should probably help myself to the nearest thrift shop and get my hands on a useful blazer :/ I'm also not brave enough yet to wear sequins, but I want to sooo bad sometimes, just to dance around at home lol
