Sorry about my post yesterday. I just needed a good cry...and McDonald's, which I finally got tonight. Now I feel sick. I hate McDonald's. I'll still want it in another couple months or so.

As you guys know (or not), I've been dressing more casual lately. I had to clean out a room packed full of junk to the ceiling. It's been really hard not to go in wearing the same t-shirt and jeans. But I did....I wore the same jeans for two weeks. And you guys didn't say anything!!! I'm pretty sure I haven't washed those jeans in months. I'm not gross. I'm efficient. But I was also bored...so gray skinnies it was...and a sweater...because it was cold today...specifically, in the 60s.

Have you entered the Mulberry-inspired purse giveaway yet? For an extra entry, follow my blog with Bloglovin'. (But comment on the giveaway page so I can keep track or I'll forget and then you won't win. Maybe.)

I'm wearing a thrifted sweater ($5), J.Crew Outlet shirt (gift from my mom), secondhand BDG jeans ($10), MIA brogues ($43), JCPenney bag (free with gift card), gold necklace (gift from my mom), and Spanish pendant ($30).

totally loving these grey skinny jeans. so cute. i came up on some money... i robbed a bank. okay not really it is Christmas money i got from my grandparents and now i can finally get some clothes... well $80 dollars worth at least. i had more but i had to take some out for much needed haircut and of course a present for my little sisters. but who cares! i have $80 bucks to spend on clothes. target here i come!! ;]
ReplyDeletei'm not really sure why i just told you all that. haha. sorry. i am just excited and i knew *you* would understand my excitement. =D

kinsey french... OMG!!! Hahaha totally laughed at your comment. You're so awesome. I totally understand!! My family asked what I wanted for Christmas and I had NO idea. I haven't gone shopping for so long and I don't look at stores online because they're so tempting so I just asked for expensive boxes of chocolate. Let me know what you get!! Shopping is toooo exciting for me sometimes ;)
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS sweater :) I'm thinking I need to buy a pair of gray skinnies because they seem to go well with everything!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand about wearing the same jeans over and over. And hey, you made all those very different (awesome) outfits with the same jeans - that's talent my friend!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you crack me up. Matt introduced me to McGriddles at McDonalds, and for a week or so after that I was craving them all. the. time. Then I got my fix. And felt sick. And was astounded at how much a McDonalds breakfast costs. Hmph.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am guilty of not washing my jeans very often... but I'm really just trying to preserve them so they don't fade. Which is very cost-effective. Right??
Kristine. Or Polly.
I seriously love your shoes and I especially love how they look worn in and loved! :)

Wear purple always. You look so pretty in it! I'm glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeletedidn't say anything because i get on clothing kicks and wear the same thing for like a month at a time...& i don't want to be a hypocrite! you look cute.
ReplyDeleteLikin' the G-line. Let me guess carinessa? I'm all about dry silk, and with snug jeans/slacks I get the calf length to eliminate the line.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! Love that you're Mormon too! Love/hate how beautiful you are! And definitely hate that cold to you is 60 degrees. Say what?
Darling! I just love seeing another modest fashion blogger out there...you look cute and chic, but so "covered" :) Like this shade of blue on you, very much...

A young woman I mentor was feeling down about looking and feeling fashionable while still maintaining her own sense of dignity and modesty, so I gave her a list of blogs to check out. She came back today and couldn't stop talking about yours! I'm excited to see how she continues to explore herself and her style, and happy that she's creating a list of positive resources for herself.
ReplyDeleteAnd those jeans are the perfect pale shade, and I adore how the dark shoes and bag ground everything.
Katie, um, you just made my day. Possibly 2010.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome pair of jeans! :) I was not sick of your black skinnies.. it made me want J Crew even more! You look great! :) The colors are nice!
ReplyDeleteYou look super cozy here. I wear the same jeans for a while without washing them, too. No worries!
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to figure out how a room can be filled to the ceiling with junk....doesn't anyone try to stop it? Goodness!

Loving the lavender! :)
ReplyDeletei have a thrifted sweater and it is my FAVORITE.

ReplyDeletehaha "i'm not gross i'm efficient"
ReplyDeleteI really need some grey jeans!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a jeans like yours and I loved it... It's a perfect piece. Look so good with the blue sweater!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment!
I come home and put on the same pair of yoga pants and same cardigan day after day too. It is hard not to fall back on your favorite, most comfortable pieces when you are either relaxing or doing "dirty work". (For me that's every day when I clean my house, chase my kids, and craft.)
ReplyDeleteI've just found your blog girl and instantly fell in love!!! It's such a joy to find a new bloggie friend like you! HELLO!!!! :D

Hey, no judgment here. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. :) I like the gray skinnies on you though and the pale palette is one of my favorite. Hope you get some well deserved rest or things slow down some more.

I love that sweater. Looks nice and snuggly :o)
ReplyDeleteThe jeans look great, too. I've been wanting to try gray jeans for a while...
You are WAY to famous to follow me. And I've been so neglectful of my little blog lately, ha. Love those jeans! Hot.
ReplyDeletevery pretty outfit! love your purse!
ReplyDeletethat's how I feel about McDonald's...once or twice a year I CRAVE it, and then I eat it and it makes me sick. Vicious cycle.
ReplyDeleteReworking clothing items has so many advantages, I couldn't do without it.
ReplyDeleteThanx for stopping by and commenting. Took me a while for to know it was you. Sorry, getting older I guess.
cute look- hope you are feeling better! enjoy your weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI love expensive chocolate too! It's something I'd never buy for myself, so it's always a nice treat.
ReplyDeleteTalking about being cold when it's in the 60's made me think of my mom. They live in FL, and she'll complain to me about the cold. I usually have to laugh because her version of cold, is my version of warm.

Your casual style is just pretty damn awesome. It may feel like you don't put alot of effort into it, but when people still love that, it's some kind of great gift.
ReplyDeleteI totally noticed you were wearing the same jeans for about 2 weeks and I was wondering if you were doing some kind of self challenge that you hadn't told us about. But I also started to think, man, if I had a pair of jeans that I loved that much... what a great place this world would be!
very cute!
ReplyDeleteYou look hot! Or, ahem...cold? Either way, I love the combo. I almost can't remember what the 60s feel like at the moment...
ReplyDeleteUM. I laugh in the face of cold. ha - ha - ha - ha.
ReplyDelete60's!!! .... psh.
Cute! I love the dark color with light!

Love the color play with dark shoes here. You look great, even if you are wearing the same jeans. You know what works for you, even if it is gro... efficient.

I wear my jeans for ages as well without washing them.
ReplyDeleteI love the jumper you're wearing. It looks really comfortable.
; ) ou U are pretty !
ReplyDeleteI wish cold meant in the '60s here, lucky girl! Our high today is a balmy 28. I know you're jealous. And jeans are meant to be worn a lot without washing them, that's how they get that worn-in-super-comfortable-feel and look way better too usually!

i love the combination of the pastel colored sweater with the black oxfords- ive been looking for a great pair for a while now.
ReplyDeleteI like the casual look. It's cute! And I am so with ya, I wear my jeans a few times before washing!
ReplyDeleteI love the grey skinnies. I am the same way about my dark wash jeggings. I literally have to force myself out of them lol. I've been trying to clean up my room, but just when I get it clean, it gets dirty again :/ The beauty of having a 3 year old who wants to play in your room lol.
ReplyDeleteSarah Jane R.
thanks for all your nice comments lately! you are too sweet <3 love the colors in this outfit! those shoes are perfection :)
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering how many days it is acceptable to wear the same pair of jeans--my favorites are grey and can stand the repeated washing. My "best" jeans require some careful laundering...
ReplyDeleteLOL i wear my jeans a good few times before i wash them =P after all jeans are supposed to be hardwearing! ^_^ (liking the bag also)
ReplyDeletethank you for visiting my blog, my garment is now complete so check out my blog and follow for support =)

I really think it's ok to wear the same pair of jeans more than once--or day to day...who cares! If you feel good and look good, that's all that matters right! lol
ReplyDeleteYou look really cute and the sweater is pretty. It amazes me how so many bloggers can go thrift shopping and find the most amazing pieces.
And thanks for the comment on my blog...I thought it was really sweet.

1. I want some grey jeans now.
ReplyDelete2. I do the same thing with McDonalds. Every so often I crave beyond belief their french fries. I go get some, smash them into my mouth...and then feel sick for at least an hour. Why can't I just learn they aren't good?
i love the color and texture of that sweater! so lovely.
ReplyDeletepepperandchips.blogspot.com
totally feel you on the mcdonald's thing! why is that? i swear as a kid/teen/even early 20's (shhh!) i could stomach it more than once every 6 months-blech!

wow! I love the great deals you're able to find!
ReplyDeleteI loooooooove BDG jeans. They're ridiculously comfy!
ReplyDeleteI love the blueish color of that sweater with your skin tone - very flattering!! (I definitely would have commented on the fact of same pants for two weeks but haven't had a chance to get online for a bit ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could make a thrifted sweater look that good! I really like the grey jeans with the black shoes. The color combo really works, in my opinion. You look great! I hope the L.A. weather is treating you well. :)
ReplyDeleteHA!! You can wear whatever you want and I'll never say anything unless I love your outfit! And maybe sometimes not then. Your blog, your pants, your rules! Yay gray skinnies for being so versatile I seriously didn't notice! Way to be there!!
ReplyDeleteNice look...
ReplyDeletecasual, relaxed, and ready to go...
Haha I love your love/hate relationship with McDonald's. I hate fast food, it grosses me out. I didn't even notice about the jeans! haha I like this pair as well :) TGIF!
ReplyDeleteWhy wear different jeans when those look so great?I'm not generally a fan of jeans that colour but I think you may have changed my mind! Love them teamed up with that pretty jumper.
ReplyDeleteCute sweater, looks nice with the jeans! And McDonalds...it always makes me sick but for some reason I end up going back a while later.
ReplyDeleteThose jeans are cute on you and I love your sweater. :)
ReplyDeleteAfter a few years of not going to Mc D's at all I discovered my love for their chocolate thick shakes and fries again. Yum. Tastiest way towards a coronary :D
Haha, McDonald's always SOUNDS good in theory. Then you eat some, and you want to die. Darn them.
