What do you like about your outfit today?

This is what I wore for two hours today. These were taken before I realized that the headache I've had for the past 24 hours will get worse and that I will want to throw up with every move I make. And, no, I'm not pregnant...............

Not sure if I really like this outfit. The shoes seem off with the rest of the outfit and I don't think the necklace-belt goes with it either. But let's focus on the positives...what do you like about your outfit today? I like my skirt...obsessed, really.

I think this is a really, really fabulous outfit!! The shoes kind of pop against the black pattern tights. I REALLY love it, actually!

I love your outfit and trench coat! I need a new coat so badly! I was a bum today so my favorite thing about my outfit was wearing my boyfriend's hoodie :)

Sounds like a killer migraine coming on. So sorry. As long as your hubby doesn't make you laugh too loud (don't want to make the migraine worse, right?)...

I like the tights, and the skirt and the top and belt and necklace... the shoes are fabulous but I'm not sure they work with this outfit, the fragmenting of the tights is a little off somehow. Hope you feel better! and hmm my favorite thing today? I suppose my necklace.

I think that the lace tights with the shoes are so adorable. I love this whole outfit. I don't like migraines, though! Hope you are feeling better.

I think your outfit is really awesome. I adore the idiosyncrasies of it! It is so much cooler than if you had just worn grey tights and grey shoes or something! You look LOVELY.

And as for my outfit today: I like that it is pure and utter moderately unattractive comfortable. ;-)

I actually love everything about the outfit. The fact that the shoes don't 100% go makes the outfit look more fun. Also, those tights are so amazing.

Ah you look lovely. Hope you're feeling a bit better now.

I'm not 100% sold on the shoes - they are fab but maybe not quite right with that outfit? The skirt and tights are glorious though!

My favourite thing about my outfit today? It's so far out of my comfort zone but I love it anyway.

i have one of those headaches now :(

Rad_in_Broolyn said...

I think this outfit works really well with the beautiful trench coat, tying things together. It still works without the coat, too.
Sorry about your headaches. Have you considered acupuncture? I go to one 2x a month in Brooklyn and I bet there are plenty of affordable options in LA/Korea town. Just look for a "community" practice, because then you pay on a sliding scale based on the income (starting at $20/visit). I found a bunch just by doing a google search of "community acupuncture" and "los angeles". Good luck.

My favorite thing on today is a scarf that reminds me of a red plaid blanket. Makes me want to curl up (under my desk possibly?) with a cup of hot chocolate.

if it makes you feel any better, i think other people don't notice the "off outfits" unless we mention it. for instance, when this popped up in my google reader (after doing a little dance of glee as i always do when your posts pop up), i thought "elaine looks so gorgeous today!"
hope you're feeling better!! xo

I love your bag...that caught my attention at the finale of your posts...The skirt is really beautiful and the lace tights gives a little goth inspired look...though the sweet chocolate color of your shoes made your outfit look like one of the princesses in The little Princess...i do not know if you are familiar with the movie...

But loving the look and aww...super sweet photo of you and your hub...

Love those tights! They look fantastic with the skirt! But I kinda have to agree about the shoes. I don't think I would wear something with such a thick ankle band with those tights. I'd either do boots/booties or pumps so the pattern is undisturbed.

What do I love about my outfit? These Gap pants that I splurged on with a birthday giftcard (my husband's in law school so I feel ya) and like-new leather silver pumps that I got from the thrift store.

This looks like an outfit I saw on a documentary on Tokyo fashion. So adorable though, and I love the pic of you and your hubby. You guys look so happy, I may even say you're glowing! (Not implying you're pregnant, by the way :D).

Oh. My outfit today =t-shirt and training pants and socks, so attractive LOL.

I love that last picture of "Elaine on the go" - i love everything but the shoes, it cuts that lovely pattern on your tights.

I love the skirt/cardigan combo and of course the trench coat! I have my own trench coat and I adore it! You are right about the necklace/belt being a little off,as for the shoes I think they look fine but I think it would also look good with your thrifted gold heels or maybe your Seychelles mary-janes? But who am I to give you advice! Your blog inspires me and my "fashion", Keep it up!

I have a killer headache of doom. I'm sorry that you seem to be sharing with me in the misery. However you look like a million bucks! I love EVERYTHING you are wearing! Those shoes are super awesome! And the tights really pop! And well, I really like everything else, too. You rocked the day even if you had a headache!

Col said...

I'm torn on the shoes with the tights....maybe the strap of the shoe is too thick with these tights? I cant pin it....it is a little bit love/hate for me, I think leaning more towards love. I love the mix of black, grey and brown. I agree with the comment someone else said that we would never have scrutinized ifnyou didn't mention it. Regardless I think you are easily pulling it off!
