Runway Inspired: Dries Van Noten

Sunday, November 07, 2010
I was running late for church today. I don't know why...especially because we got an extra hour thanks to daylight savings. I am looking forward to that extra hour of sleep tonight. I hope I dream about something good....like cake.

I wanted to go casual and comfy. It was just one of those days where I didn't want to get out of bed...ever. So I picked the closest thing to a blanket - Chase's (chunky on me) sweater. I was inspired by Dries Van Noten's fall 2010 ready-to-wear collection I posted back when. I absolutely love all the navy, olive green, and brown together. It was perfect for the 60degree chill that surprised us today.

Aaaaaaaand I still love my Tsubo shoes. Somebody stop me from wearing them. Actually, that's okay.

Hey pretties... You still have a few days left to enter the $100 cash giveaway!!! I'll give a dollar to the person who enters for me. But don't tell me. I don't want to cheat.

P.S. I finally made Chase a home-cooked meal thanks to our wonderful amazing Crockpot. Love it but hate cleaning it.

  1. You know if you hate cleaning the crock pot, they make plastic liners for them? (Though to be honest, I've used them and they were kind of more trouble and mess than just washing out the bowl...)

  2. Lola, thanks for letting me know! We have a huge one so it's always a workout to clean it. I'll have to look into those plastic liners.. Thanks!!

  3. I love those shoes too, so feel free to keep on blogging them! I might add a slip under that skirt, though, or even sew in a lining. :)

  4. Funny! I was late for church too, and I was thinking that I'd be early because of the extra hour!! Totally love those shoes, you can wear them every post as far as I'm concerned ;)

  14. That skirt looks great.

I need to use my crockpot more often. I get too lazy to put together a meal before work.

  15. Yeah, those shoes are awesome. And we just bought a brand new VINTAGE 70s crockpot. It's super cute (the colours of your skirt funnily enough!) and it only cost three bucks!

Oh, and that last photo is so fricken' cool. You should print it and hang it in your apartment; it is that cool.

  17. Ooh, I think I even like this styling of your diy skirt more than your first. I think the colors are lovely together!

I <3 my crockpot. Wish I had tips for cleaning, but I just soak and then scrub :/

And love that skirt and can't believe how cool you always look in Chase's clothes! :)

  19. This is such a great outfit - I especially love the print on the skirt. Careful cleaning that crockpot - you could fall in and never find your way out. Those things are a blessing and a curse!

  28. Haha! I also hate cleaning my Crockpot. I do love that it does all the work for me, though. Super sweet deal.
Also, your curtain dress looks great. I love the shape that it gives your hips where it poofs out over the belt.

  31. I do like the pictures I think they're all pretty but none of them really show the outfit. I found it a bit annoying not being able to see any details or see how the fabrics looked

    ReplyDelete
  32. O O N A, I'm sorry you think that's annoying. My husband and I are really busy these days and we don't have time to remember all the little details.

  33. It is always amazing how I get so attached with that hand made skirt...I really do know why maybe because it was made by you, or maybe the color can match with any outfit at all.

    I really love...

  40. Ummmm I was anxiously scrolling down to see where you got that FABULOUS skirt when I saw you made it out of a curtain. I'm speechless. I know I've said this before, but you are seriously one of the coolest and stylish fashion bloggers on earth (maybe the galaxy, if other planets now have internet).

And these photos are really cool. You look like a vision out of a dream, with the way the light is surrounding you. :)
