I've been rotating my clothes in my closet so after I wear something, it goes in the back. So far I've been doing an awesome job at it. Not a lot of repeaters besides my skirts but that's okay because I don't have a lot.

This may be a simple look to you but I really liked it. I love the belt with the skirt. I also like my shoes. But you already knew that. I normally wouldn't pair my gold necklace with this because I don't know how to wear jewelry. I also wouldn't normally wear this awesome sequin belt with my brown shoes because the colors are "wrong," but like I said, rules are stupid.

  3. It is funny because I find myself upon acquiring something new, wearing an item over and over until I begin my routine again. But then I like discovering it again much later and remembering how much I loved it when I first had it. The dynamics of how we construct our outfits are so strange yet interesting!

  4. This is such a beautiful look - so classic and feminine! I love the pops that the belt and necklace give to the overall outfit! So pretty...

  5. Know what the strange thing is? For some reason, that wide belt reminds me of a mixture of those Korean throw pillows with the cranes sewn on them and Japanese obis. So... I'm getting an Asian inspiration vibe? Either way, I like it. And I'm starting to think that those shoes are glued to your feet. :) It's wonderful finding a great pair of shoes!

  27. I love this whole look. I'm not sure if it's the skirt that makes me swoon more, or the belt. Such a simple classic look!

  28. Love this outfit, Elaine! The brown shoes look great with it. Brown is neutral so it goes with anything! :)

  30. Elaine, that is so cute! I'm going to have to try a ribbon for a 'belt'. Looks so cute! I've actually thought about embroidering a strip of fabric for a belt....I do it by hand and I really like the way it comes out! Now I have to go find some fabric and string....

  35. I love your outfits and you can never go wrong with a awesome belt. Whenever I find my loves, I wear it around all the time until I have to temporarily retire it so it doesn't fall apart. =)

  36. Rotating your closet is a really good idea. My friend's mom was telling me a way to do that by turning the hangers backward. I might have to try implementing the closet rotation so I get more wear out of my wardrobe.

  37. Your shoes are fabulous! And they look great with this outfit :)

  40. I love the fullness of your skirt here. The belt really adds so much jazz to the whole outfit.

And it doesn't matter that you left Ooops out. I immediately thought it anyways.

  41. sometimes you have to live up to your own taste and likes...and if you are comfortable with it...without looking like a clown then it is pretty normal...rules are just there to guide us not necessarily for us to follow...
