Denim on Denim v.2.0

Are you guys tired of these hallway pics yet? I'm more tired of our bookcase... especially because it shows our "collection" of John Grisham paperbacks. Something I'm not proud of but they're Chase's and I don't think he'd appreciate my Princess books on display.

I have a confession... I already wore this outfit before here. But I really wanted to wear it again. I knew it had to be significantly different from the last time I wore it because I'm a fashion blogger apparently. I did all the buttons by myself, tucked my shirt in, and added some pearls with this tutorial. Aaaaand I love my Tsubo shoes.

PS - did you make that meal yet?

I still like it!

I know it sounds like such a simple task, but do you have any tips on tuckingy in shirts? Sometimes I want to tuck only a little to have a little flowy effect, but sometimes I tuck it all in.

You look so thin!!! That's a nice outfit, but I have to admit I'm partial to that type of shirt being untucked.

Good luck on stepping up the cooking--N and I take turns making dinner and he's by far the better cook. I've been slacking off since we got back from Korea but I need to get serious about my efforts again.

I stopped by the Overstock warehouse and the NPS store yesterday and it made me think of you (and I scored some slouchy grey suede boots for $15!). I miss hanging out!

Love the combination of the jean shirt and the pearl necklace! I need to try that out sometime.

lawyerdoll said...

I'm really curious about the necklace- is it one long one or a multistrand? Is it uneven by design? In short, how do I get that look?

I really wish there was a closeup of that....

Melissa said...

Really love this look on you. Denim on denim is such a tricky combination but you pulled it off really well. It looks so streamlined and that necklace really adds that extra "oomph".

I love the look. What I especially like about your blog is how you list what each item you're wearing cost! It's such a great example to others that great looking fashion needn't cost a lot. I found your blog from one of my d-i-l's and I've referred so many other people to it, especially my teenage daughters. I like the links you have to similar clothes. We check those out sometimes and find great online sites. Thanks!

This is one of my favorite outfits ever. I'm not being imaginary nice NOR am I being real nice. I'm being straight up jealous because you look amazing. I totally second the VA-VA-VOOM. With my frame, if I wore this I would look like a rodeo mom and I know that. YOUR frame, however, looks amazingly put together and chic in it. I can't stop gushing.

tl;dr- HOT outfit

I'm juuuust barely dipping my littlest toe into fashion blogs. I discovered yours recently and I'm really loving it, for your originality, the modesty factor, and you just seem like a really sweet person!

Also, that's the first time I've seen the "shop style" thing on the bottom, it's a great feature!
