50% off + Free = Awesome

11/29/2010

My parents just got here last night from spending Thanksgiving in Vegas. YES. Apparently, Vegas celebrates Thanksgiving...and Koreans are only invited. I didn't get the memo. I guess I wasn't Korean enough...or maybe it's because my boyfriend is 6' tall....or white. Whatevs.

I bought myself this gray shirt on Black Friday. It was 50% off + free. And you can't beat that. We also bought some towels because we're grown up now.

We've all seen this skirt-belt-shoes combo but I still gravitate towards it in the morning. Sometimes I feel pressured to wear something different because I'm a fashion blogger, I guess, but then I'm like "No way." The end.

goodness, i LOVE that shirt. and the pattern mixing is unexpected and different than your usual and yet works SO well because of two subtle patterns in neutral colors.
i'm cracking up about the vegas thing.
sending you a hug today! xoxo

I never get tired of seeing that skirt and I envy you for not giving into the pressure of always feeling like you have to wear something different! I don't even take pictures of repeat outfits (probably why I haven't taken many pictures lately :P )

ok, your skirt is awesome. how did you sew it?

Look at you! You're tiny tiny tiny, Elaine!!

The skirt is super flattering, esp. in the last photo.

I loooove those tights. WORK.

it's okay, i wasn't invited to Vegas either...probably cuz everyone thinks I'm Chinese. Or because my husband is 6' and white also. no worries, you look stylish as always! i love that your mixed the prints together, and the trench is very chic.

happy holidays!

I love that you re-wear your clothes. So does everyone else. Nothing to be ashamed of. Plus, your clothes are too fabulous not to re-wear.

Not gonna lie, there definitely are a lot of Asians in Vegas!

I'm pretty new to fashion. (Well, I've always tried to stay trendy but recently I'm just starting to experiment with it.) I have no clue to how to math colors and prints. I would have NEVER thought to pair these two pieces together. Yet, they look so adorable. Any quick tips or advice on pairing prints/colors?

I think your skirt has inspired me to make my own skirts. It's so difficult to find cute skirts that are knee length or longer! And I love the different textures in your outfit - those tights were a good touch!

I love this unexpected pattern mix -- and there's no shame in the belt-skirt-shoes combo (though my husband has often asked if that's all I ever wear!). Loved your Vegas story -- what a weird, weird place it is. Last time I was there it was at a women's health conference... which was hard to jive with... everything else that was going on.
