I went down to San Diego to visit my sister-in-law and her family a couple of days ago. It was nice to get away from applying to and getting rejected from jobs. Sometimes you need a break from doing nothing. It's exhausting.
This outfit reminds me a lot of
this one. Doesn't it?? Just swap the shoes for flats and it's pretty much the same. I know - I'm so creative. I liked how it evolved into a more casual look though. I wanted to wear something I would be comfortable in while driving and playing with my niece and nephew. Then my niece decided to spit up her food and throw it at me...and wipe it all over her face and hair. I just kept thinking, "Not on the clothes, not on the clothes!!" I'm going to be an awesome mommy fashion blogger...later.
Sooo cute! And who cares if it's similar to the other outfit, still looks awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteOh children...making everything messy ;)
I'm sure you'll be accepted for a job soon too, don't worry :D

loving the green with the maroon! what a wonderful color combination this is! i must keep this in mind!
ReplyDeleteI totally feel you... when (or if) I have kids I'm going to be like "do NOT get my clothes dirty!" hahah. I don't think I'm cut out to be a mom.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun comfy outfit for playing with the kiddies :)
ReplyDeletei like this look a lot! and it has a very different feel than the other one because of the bright green coat.
ReplyDeleteand oh my goodness, for a moment, i thought you were pregnant and was about to be SO excited!
ha ha! i had a good laugh over "not on the clothes!" because it's so true! i'm always avoiding the grubby hands! you are gonna be a great mom-blogger!!
ReplyDeleteI hate that game of job searching, and I hate even more when you get to the last interview of 40 and then they just send you an eail telling you, no thanks! maybe next time :(
ReplyDeleteI hope you find something amazing any time soon!
looks great! i wish i knew where to find a good thrift store around here...
ReplyDeleteyou will be a cute mommy when you are ready! And I find myself thinking 'not on the clothes please!' all the time, it doesn't make me a bad mom, just a clean one, I am kind of a neat freak though =)
ReplyDeletelovely outfits! it's almost the same style but both are great! :D
ReplyDeletenice colour combination :)
and I really love ur new profile picture!
This is adorable and so cute! I love how you manage to wear red and green without looking like a Christmas tree. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful coat. And believe me, once you're a mother, you develop a separate wardrobe for those responsibilities.
ReplyDeleteKids do some pretty gross stuff, but they're SO cute that you always forgive them!
ReplyDeleteJust Better Together is having a giveaway!
I'm sure you'll be a very fashionable mom someday! Meanwhile, you look awesome as always. Love that coat!

Aww that's totally the challenge of having kids. Wanting to stay stylish without your clothes getting destroyed. Whenever I work in kinder and primary classes I end up getting markers and glue all over me =(
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit. :) You will come to find out that you can't have "favorites" in clothing with kids around. Those will be the 1st ruined! Sad, but true. You'll end up wearing ugly stained "home clothes" at home, and saving your good stuff for when you leave the house. Then you'll cherish the times of getting to put "real" clothes on even more! :) It's awesome! Lol! ;)
ReplyDeleteSuch a great color pallet, especially for fall.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the job hunt isn't going to well -- I hope you find something soon!
Chic on the Cheap
I totally thought you were pregnant when I read that title... didn't you know everyone would think that?? I love the green and red together. It's really basic but so cute and stylish at the same time. You have such a great eye for style!

ReplyDeleteYeah, I am def not ready for kids just yet ;)

I MIGHT say this everytime you wear it, but I have GOT to make myself one of those skirts. It's too too perfectly cute.

I read the title of your post and thought you were going to announce your pregnancy. I really like this outfit though!
ReplyDeleteSome people put moms down for wearing the sweats...now you know - They are washable and better than having your nice clothes ruined.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Cute look :)
ReplyDeleteI thought the black & white would look super nice, the skirt is bright orange & purple.
I love your outfits, even when they look similar to another one. I know how it feels once kids are around, they are unpredictable! And, just like Tania said, I was about to get excited thinking you were pregnant! Hahaha, xoxo!
