I'm sure you were unaware of this, but I am still very much in the honeymoon stage regarding my striped shirt, quilted purse, and sequin flats. It's all I've been wearing lately...in different and not-so-original ways...so maybe it is a good thing I don't have internet. We are getting it installed tomorrow night. Expect different and not-so-original outfit posts soon.

I still love stripes and florals together though it seems this trend has died down a bit. It is one of the easiest mix-and-match print combos ever. Everyone has at least one clothing item that is striped and one item that is exploding with flowers. If not, you are in a sore predicament. What I love about this outfit is that there's a little volume in the shoulders from the ruched sleeves and volume in the skirt to create a more defined hour-glass shape.

Wearing H&M striped top ($6), thrifted camel belt ($1), Shade Clothing skirt ($10), thrifted quilted purse ($4), and F21 flats ($5).
You're so lucky to have such great light at your new apartment. You look great!
ReplyDeleteoooh i LOVE LOVE LOVE this look.

I think this has to be my favorite look ever on you. The pattern mixing isn't subtle, but stripes are such a neutral these days that it just works. I am in lust with your shoes, and I'm digging the outside of new place! It's a great photo location! :)
ReplyDeleteLookin' good, girl!

ReplyDeleteThe honeymoon phase is beautiful:)!
ReplyDeleteI agree- stripes and florals look great together! GL with the Internet :)
ReplyDeleteI love ruched sleeves! The little puff at the top is too fun. :DD You look super cute, I love that skirt. <33
ReplyDelete&& I feel you on the wearing the same outfit pieces.. I've been wearing variations of my striped shirt forever. xD!
You look great!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Faith--great lighting. The outfit is pretty swell too!
ReplyDeleteYou look stunning! I have to try the stripes with florals, but I pretty much don't have a whole lot of florals in my life. Sad, I know.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous! so fresh :) xx
ReplyDeleteI love your new shirt & beautiful sparkly shoes! :) So no need to worry as far as I'm concerned! :) I am afraid of stripes because I always feel wider with them on and I'm in LOVE with the flowery prints popular lately. I drooled over the Liberty of London stuff at Target as well as the feminine flowers at Urban Outfitter. But I don't own any. :( Yes indeed, it does appear, I'm in a sore predicament. Lol :)
ReplyDeleteI always love your outfits.
ReplyDeletestripes + florals + flats = a perfect combination, I will never tire of seeing these outfits!
ReplyDeleteLove the combo!!
ReplyDeleteI really do need to experiment more with pattern mixing. That is a cute outfit. By the way, I love your hair. I've always wanted to cut bangs but have never had the guts to do it. My hair has always been one length (well with slight layers). One day though, I'll finally just do it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! I wish I had the talent to find thirsted items this cute!

Everyone has at least one clothing item that is striped and one item that is exploding with flowers.
ReplyDeleteAhaha it's so true! I've never really noticed that until you said it. Your combination looks great, I need to wear my striped clothes more often. XDD
I love this combo, too, and still think it looks fresh. It might get overused in the blogging world, but not a lot of people are bold enough to rock this combo in real life. :) I like to wear this striped H&M dress I have with a floral scarf from Urban Outfitters... they look pretty sweet together. I love how you tied the whole look together with the quilted bag and sequin flats. Timeless! And pretty effortless, too. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look totally beautiful. Adore this look on you!
ReplyDeleteI love it! You look perfect for fall, with the colors in that skirt.
ReplyDeletei would NEVER think to put this together! but goodness, how cute is it?! love it. great outfit. you're good ;)
ReplyDeleteI love this skirt! It's so pretty. And it looks great with the striped top!
ReplyDeleteI adore your skirt!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely look, so fresh and relaxed
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skirt
You look brilliant. I'm still wary of stripes with florals, but this one nails it! I think maybe because the florals are big and stipes are small...
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem like that long ago my closet was void of floral skirt and striped tops, but I cured that because it is one of the best combination ever!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the honeymoon, I hope it lasts a while.
Chic on the Cheap
omg... LOVE. your shirt + skirt combo is PERFECT.
