Creativity comes in all forms...like obsession.

Saturday, August 07, 2010
We went garage saleing early in the morn and this was not what I wore. I wish I rolled out of bed looking like this. It's so simple but it took me a few hours of obsessing over what I was wearing to GARAGE SALES to come up with this afterwards. Creativity comes in all forms...like obsession...or trial-and-error. Whatever. Same thing.

I originally wore a black v-neck from Gap instead of this striped top. It is one of those whisper-thin tees that suddenly stretch out to be twice your size. I took the sides in to make it more fitted but my efforts were futile. It has been honorably inducted into my lounging-at-home clothes pile.

After I changed, I didn't have to think twice about what I was wearing. Stripes, puffed sleeves, sequins, quilted bag? Tell me that is not the combination of AWESOME. Plus, I used Tania's easy-peasy messy bun tutorial. I love it. I'm a convert.

  2. Oh yes. Cuter than cute. LOVE those jeans on you. They fit so perfect. You are just lovely, and I bet you were lovely in your first outfit as well! I certainly do that too, change from what I wore first thing in the morning. I can't really ever seem to get my head together until after ten...well, noon really. ;-)

  5. could you BE more chic!?!
i too put alot of thought into what i wear to random places where people shouldn't care how i look.... i CARE. my sisters tease me for wearing heels to the grocery store... but i feel amazing!!! and sometimes i will wear an outfit for a couple hours and then change because it will suddenly come to me.... THIS is what i should be wearing!
i love to hear that there are others out there who care about cute "garage sale-ing" outfits... or grocery shopping outfits...

  6. You can't go wrong with sequins and stripes, plus the neutral pallet is always so stylish.
Obsession, so true. I can't think of all the days when I start out with one outfit and then change every piece until I'm wearing something completely different.

  34. If you showed up at a garage sale looking that great, the wife would charge you more--because she had been working like crazy to prepare, got up super early to put out the signs, and as the sale started she probably felt she looked awful.

Thanks for all your comments darling ;)
