Yes, the stereotypical "fashion blogger in the empty field" shot. There are TONS of these empty fields where my husb grew up. That also tells you what kind of town we're in................................and how exciting it is.

I liked the way I belted my belt. And that's a picture of my face.

I almost didn't wear these black flat ankle boots I thrifted a while ago. I imagine them with skinnies but it's too hot to wear anything that suffocating. Because I was blessed with short stubby legs, I opted for an above-the-knee dress to make my legs look longer.
Random trip picture of the day:
Baywalk in Manila, Philippines.
The sunset really was that pink and beautiful! While we were walking around, a couple of older ladies stopped us and commented on how white we were. They were really friendly and I'm pretty sure one of them had a crush on my BIL.
I love the way you tucked and looped your belt, and the straw hat is perfect with this dress!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous sunset!
Haha, I love it. The ubiquitous "shot in the field." :) Where I was born it is just as full of empty fields, I should have totally grabbed a "fashion blogger" moment.
ReplyDeleteLove you in the blue dress with the belt. Quite sweet and chic.
Nice photos and pose :) Funny story about that picture!! It is really nice over at Manila Bay. I use to go there a lot when I was a kid! I don't remember those lights being there, but I'm sure a lot has changed over the last few decades. Nice hat and belt twist.
ReplyDeleteyou're rocking that field.
ReplyDeleteand i love how you always make simple looks exceptionally chic and your own, like that little twist on the belt or the unexpected shoe.
CUTE!!! I love that dress and the belt, so awesome

Very cute dress!! Love the pics!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and the hat! and the belt :)
ReplyDeletelooooooooove how you tied that belt!
ReplyDeleteI love how you tied your belt! Makes it way more interesting! I love having black and brown together, I don't think it clashes at all
ReplyDeleteI love the way you tucked your belt! I always wanted to know how to belt a belt without using the belt holes.
ReplyDeleteDo you recommend any online sites that I can get a good bargain on shoes?
The way you wore the belt is so creative and I love the Manila shot. :)
ReplyDeletewww.mandydiec.blogspot.com
@Justine Hi Justine! I highly recommend endless.com. I love that they have free shipping and return shipping and you can also do cashback at many sites like fatwallet.com or ebates.com. The prices aren't what I call bargains. If you want to get some cheap but stylish shoes, you should check out gojane.com. But they don't have free shipping and they're kind of expensive to return ship. Anyway, hope this answered your question! If not, please email me!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things that I love about this outfit! First the color combination - navy + brown + black = love! And I totally love how you did your belt - what a great idea! Just awesome - way to rock it!

Hey! I grew up in an area with lots of fields and lots of woods to roam in. Excitement followed me everywhere I went--or maybe I was following it! =)
ReplyDeleteYou managed to look amazing out there in the middle of nowhere.

ReplyDeletehow's cali?
Love the belt twist too :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing Sunset! Love the pics!
ReplyDeleteBeen silently stalking your blog for a while now... I love how this (and all your outfits) seem effortless. Always believable, never over-the-top or trying-too-hard. BIG fan.

ReplyDeleteGreat way to tie the belt and that hat is fab.
ReplyDeleteso summery!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat belt knot is off the hook, really like it!
ReplyDeleteIs it lame that I actually have been scouting out plain fields in hopes of securing a rather cloistered blogging photo shoot spot? I mean, look how it turned out for you! Use boring fields to your advantage! Obviously Mother Nature only put out fields for bloggers, amirite? :)
ReplyDeletePS: I love the hat with the dress with the booties-- it's just all great!

I like how you corporates those shoes to a summer dress. And your hair looks really nice vawy after a while
ReplyDeleteSo simple and chic, I love it! I love the way you did your belt, I always have to tuck and loop it that way as well because the belts are always huge!
ReplyDeleteAnd I feel you, I was blessed with short legs as well, and it is quite the challenge sometimes to make them even look a normal length lol
Happy 1st of July!
