Remember this post where I was whining about too-long graphic t-shirts? Well, here's that t-shirt again...with the same jeans! I have a tendency to pull and tug at my clothes and I had to let that habit go and bunch up the bottom a little to not hit right at my hips.
If you guys didn't know already, I'm not a fan of graphic t-shirts. I wanted to wear one today but still wanted to make it cute without forcing people to read/look at what is written on my chest. So I resorted to the belted-cardigan. I know I've totally been overdoing this look. But once Utah decides to keep its temperature up, I'll give up belting my cardigans. ...Maybe.

Wearing Old Navy cardigan ($4), Shade Clothing graphic t-shirt (free with gift card), thrifted Anne Klein belt ($1), secondhand BDG jeans ($17), and Geox flats ($37).

I love that look! I've been doing the same thing a little too often these days too!
love love love! I'm not a fan of graphic tees either though I have a few from my teenage years that I truly like. You did the impossible, you made the graphic tee sophisticated! Great cardi!
clothes are cute
clothes are cute
I love this look! I love the way it's dressy but still casual!
Cute! I love how well you mix unexpected pieces and it ends up looking so great!
Well well well, you definitely still shine on in this ensemble, Elaine! Love it! Although looks like your graphic tee isn't as bad as much as you seeem to not like it! :) Fabulous you look!
I never thought of wearing a belted cardigan with a graphic t-shirt. Thanks for the inspiration...it may make picking out tomorrow's outfit just a little bit easier :)
I love how casual and fun this outfit is! Glad you found a way to restyle the shirt.
Loving this! Super excited for the weather to start warming up =)
I do not like graphic shirts too much either. My husband says they make guys stare at your chest longer if there are words written on them.
i love the belted cardigan (plus i like seeing the same thing a few times--it's now your trademark and you look so tiny in jeans and a belted sweater!)
Mentioned you on my blog today Elaine! Come check it out!!

I love the way you belted your cardigan!
I love this look the belted cardigan looks really cool might have to try it one day.

i love your belted cardi !
glisters and blisters
It's perfect with the jeans.
at least you're shaking it up by not just belting a buttoned cardi- it's more visually fun and stylish that you tuck it and twist it.
it would be nice to bust out some more summery clothes.
You dressed it up super cute! I'm not a big one for graphic tees either. I can never make them look feminine or classy enough, myself.
love hate relationship with graphic tees. you totally worked your graphic tee! it looks very chic with the belted cardigan!
i not a fan of graphic tees either. the only graphic tees i like to wear are from j crew! such beauties. you look fab.
Oh I love the way you wore that pretty cardi!
I used to lovee graphic tees! Now, I mostly only wear them to bed! Do you get your jeans hemmed or do they just naturally fit you so well?
I love the action shots! :) I like certain graphic tees, but given my age I generally only wear them when I am feeling very casual. The belted cardi dresses it up beautifully.
I also have problems with my long graphic tees... I don't want them to reach my hips since they will just highlight my non-existent hips. Hahaha! So I cut them to the right length.
Love how you wore a belted cardigan over the long tee. xoxo
Such a cute look. You are lovely. I adore graphic ts!! I can never seem to find "perfect" ones mind you. Love the belted cardigan look. And you do it so well!
Graphic tees are easier for guys to wear, but you made this look great.
Glad you didn't fall from the wall! =)
i love that belt!
The wrapped and belted cardi look is too cute on you! I wonder if any of my sweaters or skinny belts would do this...
i really love those jeans, the fit is perfect! i only own 1 pair of bdg's but theyre soooo long and im too lazy to get them tailored/hemmed/whatever. but they do fit great! also, i love the belted cardi look and dont think there's such things as wearing it out, so you enjoy it girlie! haha.
have a great rest of your week miss :)
*sigh* elaine ... ure cute to pieces. promise.
Looks great teamed with jeans:)
U have a great taste, Honey!
Before I loved graphic T-shirts, but I actually think it's a thing you grew up from.
Anyway... Love the belted cardigan, you really look good in them:)
Have a nice day;)
You look tiny in this outfit (I mean that in a good way, I'm very envious!). I just adore your simple, classy style.
Cute outfit, I'm not a fan of graphic tees either but I like the way you styled yours!
i love how you belted your cardigan! so chic!

ps i love your creativity in your pics... Love it! xoxo
gorge!
i don't like graphic tees too. i already gave my old ones to charity and some i wear only at home. ^^
I like some graphic tees, but they're too casual for most days. I love how you mitigated the text by using a belted cardi. Honestly, I love a belted cardi, so I say keep rocking it!
This outfit is adorable!!!
Very nice outfit as allways!
I love how you've pulled your cardigan over on it self--it's so simple and yet such a cool way to work it.

This is a very classy outfit and I love your cardigan. I love it with the belt too and your ballet flats are beautiful.
your outfit is so sweet :) beautiful jacket!

Love love how you paired the tee with the cardigan. I love mixing something casual with something a bit more refined. And I totally agree with you about graphic tees. I went through a phase where that's all I wore (like, in high school), and I'd wonder why so many dudes were oggling my chest until I realized that I was wearing a shirt that pretty much gave them no other choice than to stare. Oops.

Oh Elaine!!! I love your cardigan!!! its so pretty!!! perfect for spring, and the color of your jeans is great!!! you look awesome!
I always like looking at the graphic tss, the thing is I feel kinda silly wearing them... but i do anyways.
i totally agree on the graphic tees. i buy them, but then always feel uncomfortable wearing them even though i think they're really cute on other people.
I love this! it's very cute ^,^
This is a verycute look. Love the way you cinched the cardi.
that´s very cute, love it!
Love your beaded cardi.
I'm all for belting cardis...and blazers too!
Elaine, your waist is so tiny!
Jealous...just a lil ;)

cute cute
You pretty much look good in everything :)
I like graphic tees, but I don't like to wear them alone - I like to pair them with unexpected elements like cardis and other more girlie articles. I love your outfit here - go with what works and your cardi outfits WORK!

You pulled this off well, Elaine! I've been toying with graphic tees again - usually under slouchy blazers.
Let me first thank you for your concern about me! Thanks darling, you're really precious! I've really been too busy this last few days plus I'm so tired that all I'm thinking about is when there will be another holiday, and thanks God it has come: this Saturday, Labor Day... yes, I work on Saturdays =/ I have to make 44 hours in a week at my job :P besides that there's college and worksheets and readings -- I'm letting these last ones to the weekends. I'm out of energy in my body and yesterday my eyes were red and heavy so when I got home, around 11 p.m. I just took a shower and went to bed. Phew, Life's hard for grown ups, isn't it?
I hope you're very well, and by the way, have you finished packing? :P I don't think so, I know how it is because we also moved to another place three years ago. Even though we thought we didn't have anything, when we're moving we founnd things that I cannot even understand why they were there and where they came from, hahahaha :P
Talking about this outfit, I think I'll have to agree with you. Graphic t-shirts are like loud music, we may like it but it's better to keep it down. Simple is best! =)
Bear hugs E.
<3
LOVE how you belted that cute cardi! xoxo
I love the embellishment on the cardigan, it's so cute. I'm always conflicted about graphic tees, I like them in the stores, but not so much on me!
Chic on the Cheap
cute idea!
Never give up the belted cardigan!
Now this is a great outfit! One of my fav's!!!
It looks cute! I also have a problem with too long shirts. I am 5'2" Sometimes I just feel like hacking off the bottom.
