Yes, Please

So you guys know I don't post a lot of "wanted" items on my blog. But when I saw this on the Tsubo website, I knew I have to have it. There really is no rational reason for me to buy these. For $95 you've got to be kidding me! Plus, I have no ideas on how to incorporate this into my wardrobe - they're not even my style! Somebody talk some sense into me. What's happening to me???

  2. sometimes we are attracted to things over which you have no control! These would be so great with some jeans :)

  7. They are not personally to my taste, but I think if you are that stirred by them, even if they are different than your usual style, they really speak to a desire inside you! Take a little while and if you can come up with ways you would want to wear them, go ahead and feel good about buying them =) A piece outside your comfort zone is always good for mixing things up and helping your style evolve.

  10. They're kind of Sporty Spice-ish in that athletic/fashion-y way. With tights and a simple denim skirt maybe to keep the look casual?

  11. Oh definitely yes! they look so comfortable and stylish as well!

    I love you're new banner!

  12. well maybe i'm crazy too, but i think they're really cute! they'd look good with pants cuffed up a little to just above the ankle (maybe with socks showing). and definitely with shorts in the summer. ~joelle

  14. If anyone could pull them off it would be you. You look cute in everything! However, I think they would be really hard to find stuff to wear with! Maybe you could find something similar thrifting if you just keep at it?

  15. haha elaine you're silly, i definitely think you could pull them off though (but that price tag is pretty hefty!) :)

  17. Hmm, haha, I don't know. I don't like them. They remind me of those Spice Girls crazy sneakers.

  18. Im thinking you should give yourself a little more credit. you could definitely work with those! They do look somewhat orthopedic, haha but like i said i think you can avoid that vibe

  19. i def think that you can incorporate these unique shoes in some way or another. i def also like the vibe i'm getting off them... but i gotta be honest... not my style. i live in florida, so anything not flip flops looks weird... thus, i look weird always wearing black boots!

  20. I want strange and unnecessary things all time time - I've suddenly fallen in love with my enemy horizontal stripes and have been buying them.

But you get so many amazing thrifing steals, you can treat yourself to some awesome, unnecessary, slightly overpriced shoes.

Or just ask yourself this - if you saw they were out of stock tomorrow, would you be sad?

  21. Hmmm....I love shoes, but those....not a fan. However I bet I'll love them once I see them in a photo on your blog with some adorable outfit you've put together, haha!

  22. ha! so funny! but i think you could rock them with dark or black skinny jeans, a white tee, and a giant scarf.

  23. oh Elaine. high heeled/platform sneakers? you should be able to talk yourself out of that.
(even though you look good in anything. still.)

  24. elaine! you totally led me over to the tsubo website, and I fell in love with like 3 pair of shoes. lets go shopping!!! and yes, if you like them, you'll rock them, you'll love them, and everyone will end up wanting them!

  25. Why is no one trying to talk you out of wanting these??? Maybe if you tell yourself the company forces 8-year-olds to do the stitching by hand (totally made up), you'll stop wanting them. LOL! They are so odd looking they are actually cute.

  26. It's your funky side wanting to shine! I totally dig them. But I'm a fan of funky shoes. They make a simple outfit fantastic. Get them!

  27. I so would love to have those- I think I could find tons of things to wear with them!

  28. I wore some shoes like those back in 7th grade. They were....more comfortable than Sunday heels, but not any good for running home from school. It's a bad design flaw in my mind.

  29. tsubo RULZ. love them, but yeah, they're pretty up there in terms of price. the good thing is that they're reliably comfortable and will last you a long time.

i think they would look fantastic with short skirts/shorts with tights -- heck, even long skirts!

you've just awakened a shoe craving... thanks a lot. :)
