It's a Friday night...

2/26/2010

...and I'm all alone! Good thing I have that skirt to keep me busy! I haven't started it yet - obviously. Not gonna lie...I'm a little freaked out. I haven't made anything so this will be my first. I want it to be perfect! I don't want to embarrass anyone. Here is a peek at the fabric I'll be using. Isn't it fantastic? Thank you, Wal-Mart, for not letting me down.
I was able to do some quick window shopping today with Meg. I love that girl. If you met her, you would love her too. Thanks to her, I was able to get a decent outfit pic! (Thanks, Meg!) No more picture wall! Okay, that's a lie. There will probably be more of that..

I really like some of their dresses! but they are pretty expensive still-- maybe when I can afford it I'll get one of theirs instead of Shabby Apple?? but Shabby Apple just got a bunch of spring dresses!! ahhh I need to get a job!

Love the outfit- bringing chic-ness to jeans (skirt) and a white shirt! The area you are in looks really cute! I seriously need to get myself over to Utah soon.

The blue-and-white pattern is so delicate, and the scenes on it are so cute! Be sure to let us see when it's done, I'm sure you will do a great job :)

LOVE this outfit, it's gorgeous. And great background...
Also, Wal-Mart does have some cute fabrics on occasion, for cheap! My Wal-Mart has a very small fabric dpt., so I don't frequent it too much. I'm excited to see how your skirt comes out, I am thinking of trying it, too, but am intimidated by it, too, and I have some sewing experience(all be it, not much). Enjoy your relaxing weekend! I'm just excited because it's supposed to rain here tonight and tomorrow, and it's my morning to sleep in tomorrow. I'll be like a hibernating bear. ;)

Haha, love the confession about the picture wall!

What would you tell me if I said I wanted to be perfect the first time I tried something? I bet it would be something like: practice makes perfect, so do your best, but be patient with yourself! And have fun. =)

I can't wait to see your finished skirt!! I wish I could be that brave/ambitious... I'm pretty sure I'd just waste a bunch of fabric. I think my abilities only extend as far as altering what I already have. Oh, and pillow covers. But those are easy. Straight hems.

Your husband was so sweet to leave you surprises and stuff for while he's gone. Whenever my husband goes out of town, I like to watch all the chick flicks that he wouldn't really be into, and sometimes I make cookies... mm. Maybe next time I'll do something more productive!

Oh one more thing, were you still wanting to do that meet-up? If you'd rather email, my email is lafillelabas at hotmail dot com
