Not Quite Tights Weather

1/12/2010

A girl on campus told me today that she liked my tights. But she kind of had a smirk so I'm not sure if she was saying it mockingly or as a compliment... Oh, well... at least like them!

If you're thinking I look tired, I am. If not, thanks ;). It doesn't help when you've slept in all winter break and then have to wake up early all of a sudden. Ummm...what?!? I'd like to go to bed now but I still have homework, blogging/commenting, running, and cleaning to do! Sorry this has to be a short one...

P.S. I tied my scarf Orchid Grey style! If you want to learn, she made a vlog here. It's easy!!!

I love how put together and ladylike your sweatshirt is here! And I don't care what that sassy girl says, I really do like your tights.

I realized just now that you're not on my blogroll!! I am adding you right this minute.

I'm so annoyed when it's too cold for tights. can't wait for spring!

Those tights look fantastic on you! I love how you paired a more casual top with them....it works so well!

Jasmine said...

i hate people who do that--give you a compliment but leave you not knowing whether it was genuine or not! it reminds me of the movie, "mean girls"! ugh!! but i really do like them on you! :D they give the simple outfit of just a skirt and top so much more interest!

I love this outfit. You look so comfy but yet totally put together and cute (as usual). And every time you wear that scarf I make a mental note that I need to find one because it's amazing.

Hope you are having a great start to your semester!

Sal said...

Oooh, I'll have to figure out that scarf-tie. Love how it looks!

Shop T.O. Live said...

I don't think she could possibly be smirking at that outfit - it looks great. I like how the tights and scarf add a subtle 'allure' to a casual outfit, really pulls it all together.

Lace tights and a sweatshirt? I love it.

Maybe that girl was sincere, but just has a weird face. I'm like that. Maybe I don't mean weird face... weird facial expressions. I feel sometimes like people smile at me and I smile too late or just a little off. lol

Your tights are adorable and I sincerely mean that, sweetie! If that girl was smirking it was because she was hiding jealousy. Lol.
I also love your scarf. So freaking cute!! xoxo

I can't think what would be wrong with your tights, surely it was a compliment?
I love this outfit anyway. The oversized sweater reminds me of Flashdance! (totally a good thing!)

Isn't getting back into the routine of getting up early the worst!! These last two weeks have been awful!

And I totally dig your tights, by the way!

You don't look tired at all, so you're welcome:)

Your scarf looks cute!

La Historiadora de Moda said...

If it's any consolation, I'm tired too. I'm still not quite back on eastern time or ready for my teaching schedule.

I think those tights are fantastic, and I love that you combined lace with leopard print!

Dottie said...

This combo is fantastic because it features so much that I normally would never wear: lace tights and leopard print for the "tarty" connotations and gray sweatshirt for the "slobby" connotation. Yet you make it all look chic and perfect. I'm so impressed and am taking notes :)

Those are great tights (no smirk here!)...
I do recommend wool-blend tights for cool weather—they have saved me in Chicago so far.
