Thank you for all your comments and suggestions! It seemed like there were two sides: (1) if you didn't like or feel good about your outfit, you didn't post it or (2) you posted it anyway as a learning experience. For me, I don't post it if I don't feel good about it when first putting the outfit on. A few of you have mentioned figuring out what is wrong with it first and then fixing it the next time you wear a similar outfit, which I think is a great idea.

The outfit from my last post made me feel frumpy and disheveled by the end of the day instead of feeling put together like I did in the morning. I felt great in my outfit from today but the picture didn't quite document that and that's okay. (I wish I had fixed my shirt first.)

Wearing Tulle coat ($44), J.Crew top (gift from my mom), Shade Clothing skirt ($10), F21 tights ($7), and Ros Hommerson oxfords ($25).

Well, the skirt looks wonderful and you'll be with different people tomorrow, so I don't think it would be weird!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about that bee ruining your fun on the swings! That was such bad luck to swing into a bee as it was flying. I've had that kind of luck too! I hope you haven't been stung very often since then. Have a great week! =)
what a sweet skirt!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! I love your ruffled shirt and cute little oxfords.
ReplyDeleteI rarely post the learning experience but happened to this week! Love the tights and florals together!

I think this outfit and the one you were previously questioning are cute - I'm a sucker for patterned tights and scarves. I like how the patterned tights you're wearing today add a modern look to the floral skirt without clashing against it.
ReplyDeleteOn the whole, as long as I have time to photograph my outfit, I post it even if I'm not crazy about it. I'm (obviously) not a high fashion role model - I'm just trying to figure out what works & doesn't work on my body, and the failures or simply not-so-great outfits are part of that too.
Plus, if I know I'm going to be uploading a picture of what I wear, it's additional accountability to make sure I feel polished before I head out the door.
I totally am in love with your entire look. You look chic, modern, pretty and casual all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally one of those folks who don't post my major fashion fails (heck, I've deleted whole posts are making them live when I regret an outfit choice) - but think it's important to be able to grow and learn from former fashion mishaps.
I love this outfit -- it's so cheerful! And I think it would be cute if you wore the skirt again soon -- it's pretty.
ReplyDeleteI have to say again how much I love your new header. You look like you're looking down at all your posts! :)
