Sorry for the blog hiatus. It was an altogether internet hiatus - it was nice, but it's also good to be back! If you couldn't tell from the change of scenery, we finally made it to the east coast yesterday! Our flight was canceled on Saturday morning because of the big snow storm here but we're glad the airline let us know before we got stuck at some airport in the middle of nowhere.. I hope everyone's enjoying their winter break! I feel like I have more to do than during the school year... not sure if it's good or bad yet.

The husband and I are itching for a road trip to Boston and NYC... Especially to check out the grad schools. My blogger friends, if you have any suggestions for great places to go in any of these cities, it would be much appreciated. Tourist spots are fun, but the local hot spots are better...right?

Wearing Collection B faux leather jacket ($55), graphic t-shirt from Korea (from my sister), F21 chain necklace (Christmas gift from my SIL), J Brand jeans ($158), and Tsubo boots ($160).
Thank you to Emily from Le Quaintrelle for my giveaway prize! AND she donated $70 to Toys for Tots from the giveaway! Isn't that amazing??
P.S. I've still yet to disclose the giveaway winner. Stay tuned later tonight. I'll be emailing one of you!
P.P.S. I've got another giveaway lined up. Stay tuned for that as well.

Hi Elaine-
ReplyDeleteIf you come out to Boston, make sure you come out to Cambridge and Somerville as well. In Somerville, Davis Square to be exact, there is a vintage clothing store called Poor Little Rich Girl and a recently opened Buffalo Exchange right across the street. Right next door is a coffee shop called Diesel which serves great coffee and yummy sandwiches. Just a block down the street is the Somerville Theater, where you can catch 1st run movies or concerts - a charming independent theater. Hope that helps - don't know if you are looking at Tufts University, but it's right next door to Davis Square in Medford. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you'd like more info. Have fun!
Elaine, You look adorable. Enjoy your stay on the East coast. :)
