All the World is Green

Usually, I don't buy clothes priced over $15 but $17 is pretty cheap for J.Crew and nobody can resist that...come on! I love it so much, I even got it in white!

I'm off to get my hair trimmed later. But you know, when you go in to get a trim it's almost like they just hack it all off! At least that's what it feels like each time for me...

As you can see, the snow is ALL gone!! There was 20 inches there just a couple of days ago. Crazy. But I'm not complaining about the warmer weather we've been having here either! ;)

Wearing J.Crew ruffled top (gift from my mom), thrifted belt ($1), Shade Clothing white skirt ($12), bracelet (won from Emily's giveaway), Target lace tights (gift from my SIL), and Ros Hommerson oxfords ($25).

Thanks to everyone for the recommendations for NYC and Boston!! :) They were all much appreciated!

Looks like the weather is bizarre everywhere lately. In Florida, one day it will be in the 70's, and the next it will be in the 40's.

I *love* this outfit -- possibly my favorite so far. I'm also experimenting with wearing typical spring/summer items in winter outfits; I think accessorizing with black is a huge help (as you've demonstrated).

Tasha said...

I'm like you, I don't like to spend too much money on my clothes! It's hard to resist that top for $17 though! It's so cute!

I've noticed that your pictures were tagged with Philadelphia... by any chance, were you in the city yesterday? Because I could have sworn I saw someone that looked like you... oh my, that sounds so creepy haha.

Are those tights from the Rodarte for target line? They are very nice. :)

I was tempted by the top that you have on, but I have a LOT of ruffles in my closet. MUST. STOP. BUYING. RUFFLES.

We had 20 inches of snow here and it all melted, too. Funny!

hi!! lovely outfit

if you didnt make it to philly or nyc yet here are my recommendations!

Philly - The Phildelphia Museum of Art, Franklin Institute of Science, Sabrina's (breakfast), Buddakan (Asian fusion), Sang Kee (Peking Duck in Chiantown), Philly cheesesteak at Pats or Genos of course. The list goes on and on, let me know if you're looking for something specific!

NYC - Ippundo (Japanese ramen), Artichoke Basilles Pizza, Bonchon chicken, tons of stuff to do! Times Square, Central Park, The MET, etc.

Hope that helps before u go!

Beautiful pictures, and I love those tights! Also, I wish it was half as sunny where I live as it looks to be where you are! I'd never guess there had been snow on the ground just a little while ago!

hope you're having fun in philly!! or in boston or nyc, not sure where you are at this very minute. haha :P

Thank you, Elaine. It was fun to think about how I chose to spend my clothing money over the past year and what worked out the best. (If only everything I bought had such great cost-per-wear.)

I absolutely adore your lace tights as well as the fact that you paired them with a white skirt. I think the black tights are a perfect way to avoid looking too summery with the colors you chose. Just lovely.

I think this is my favourite of your outfits - I love everything!

Another great outfit! I bet you are SO enjoying some time without snow. We don't get much here at all (we're lucky to get a day or two a year) but I can imagine it would be so nice to see the ground after a while.

This outfit would be such an awesome transition into Spring sans tights and with some open toe shoes.

Cute as always!

1. it is currently about -30degrees outside where i am, and i cant describe how jealous i am of you right now!

2. i completely agree with you about hair trims. im getting my trimmed tmr which will no doubt feel like "growing out my hair" is pointless.......altho im sure you will still look fabulous

you look so pretty :)
hope you have a great holiday ahead

Ahhh love what you're wearing! And enjoy less snow - I find it really hard to look good when it's so cold, it becomes all about layers, not fashion.
