Take Another Bow

11/28/2009

How was everyone's Thanksgiving?? I hope you got full on good food and good company. Ours was filled with good Korean food more than American, but still delicious.
modest lds fashion blog clothed much salt lake city utah mormon modesty style elaine hearn
Wearing Collection B faux leather jacket ($55), Gap white button-down ($12), Old Navy cardigan ($18, last year), secondhand BDG jeans ($10), and thrifted heels ($3).

I know you've already seen the bow, but I like it too much. I want to find more sashes and ways to tie a bow. I'm loving this trend right now.

On a deeper note, does anyone change a few or more times a day just to find that outfit that reflects how you feel that day?? I had trouble today and had to go home to change last minute. I first stepped out the door with something I wore here on this blog five months ago but that wasn't me anymore. Sure, it was me in the picture but that isn't my style and I've grown since then and need to reflect that in what I wear. I know....so deep on the subject of outfits. Anyone else as crazy as me?

I love the green cardigan peeking out underneath.
I'm the same with my outfits. If I go out in something I'mm not happy with it makes me grumpy all day.

This is a stunning outfit. I especially love the pumps!

I totally get what you mean! I wouldn't wear half of the stuff I was wearing a year ago! It's amazing how different our tastes and preferences can change.

PS. I saw this commercial that had a BCBG outfit on and the shirt looked EXACTLY like yours! I just love it so so much.

you look adorable. nice view of downtown.

if i am wearing something that just isn't me, i get grumpy. it's like my energy is off because my outfit is off. no bueno!

once i drove home from class (it ended early, thankfully) because i felt so awkward in what i was wearing and had a better idea of what to wear ... normally i would have just sucked it up and made it through the day, but for some reason i just HAD to change, lol.

I love the bow look!
Hm, I don't really change much although I must admit that I have done it a couple times before. My friend, on the other hand, changes whenever she's bored or doesn't "feel" the outfit anymore.

Glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving <3

not crazy at all! there are things in my closet that don't reflect my style anymore. our style changes and evolves as we grow up!

Hehe I get the same way... I look at outfits from a couple months ago and I feel like they are no longer who I am... Of course in the summer im more of a hippy kinda girl and the winter brings out the sophisticated woman in me so my style quite literally DOES change month to month! Either way, you look as fab as always darling!

I love this outfit and your blog. I don't normally post because for some reason my laptop won't let me post on blogs with embedded comments no matter how much I play with the settings.

You look super cute. Yum...Korean food. Growing up with always had kimchi with our mashed potatoes and stuffing on Thanksgiving. I've tried to get Nathan on board with the idea but sadly to no avail.

I love how that pop of green is peeping out! :) Korean food sounds delicious—now you've got me hungry. I definitely change when I get home but it's generally not a style choice...pure comfort (make-dinner-and-walk-the-dog outfits)!

I totally understand what you mean about changing outfits. Clothing is a way we use to express ourselves, and I feel that wearing repeat outfits doesn't work because people change- however minutely- every day.

i'm a huge believer that our outward appearance reflects our deepest emotions - if you're feeling fashion indecisive you may have some big decisions ahead. anywas, you're look is beautiful as usual and the bow is far too cute :)

And yes, I have to dress to match how I feel that day...or sometimes in reverse to put in the right frame of mind.
