The Perfect Boots
Thursday, November 05, 2009
My second pair of Miss Me boots cracked again. I'm SO done with them. I'm on a new search now. This is what I'm looking for in my perfect pair of boots:
Rockport has some classic styles that are COMFY! I can like run in them with a 2 inch heel- take a looksee at them on zappos.com- not super fashion forward, but practical and classic
ReplyDeleteTough choice (I lusted after those VS ones, too, during my own boot quest). I think the Aldo Lashawn is one of my faves...SO hard to choose, though! Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteI love the 2nd brown pair!
ReplyDeleteI am really loving the first pair in brown and black.....the style seems so classic, could be versatile with many different styles. Keep us updated regarding which ones you choose!
ReplyDeleteI like the brown ones with the button strap on the top and the black one on the left, third down.
ReplyDeleteBoots are so handy in wet and cold weather, good luck finding a new pair!
PS. That's really sucky that the boots you have now keep cracking... I hate when I buy stuff and it falls apart.
First ones- black and brown! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the first set VS ones... the styling is lovley...I think the bottom set of equestrian rain boots are too equestrian...
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday soon and I hope you find just the right boot!
I love the first ones best. They are plain but have enough detail not to be boring and look like gumboots (what do you call gumboots in the US? Wellies? Or is that Britain?) Anyway, love the first ones!
ReplyDeleteI love the first ones! They're so classic, I've been eyeing them up as well...
ReplyDeletethe first black and brown boots. I like how flat the heel is!
ReplyDeleteI really like the fifth ones, and, like almost everybody else, I like the first ones as well! But the ALDO Lashawns have to be my favorite. Have you ever tried looking for boots at Pink Ice? They have some really cute ones there. I'm not sure about quality though, I never bought any from there. Or you could even look at Payless. They always have great deals on good shoes.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just thought of another place: ModCloth. They sell retro and vintage clothing. I never bought anything there either, but their stuff looks nice.
ReplyDeleteI am seriously lusting after the VS ones. I posted about them awhile ago. But those Aldos are awesome too. Let us know what you decide!

It exceeds your budget, but I soooo want these:

Volatile Women's Jockey Boot in brown
ReplyDelete&
The VS riding boots for your black boot need ;-)
Those are my faves =D they're all wonderful though! I just bought a pair of black boots today lol
Cracked again? Eek! Did they give you your money back?
ReplyDeleteAs for the new ones, I like the first pair then the first two pairs in the 2nd row.
Oooh...a bday :)
very cute! I want them all!!
ReplyDeleteI too am on the hunt for a (couple) great pair(s) of boots! And my qualifications are almost identical to yours, though I would add not piratey to the list. I would be willing to drop more than $100, if I found the right pair. So far, the Børn Norelle (http://www.bornshoes.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=4562) is at the top of my list, but above my prefered price range.
ReplyDeleteI have also heard great things about boots from Banana Republic, especially quality-wise, but I haven't found a suitable pair there.
Do you regularly buy boots online? I've tried on too many pairs in stores and had them look terrible on my foot/leg, so even with free returns I think the process could turn into a big hassle. Have you had much success?
I love the top left, in both colors, I also like the second to last ones, on the left bottom. I don't like the last ones on the bottom right...they look cheap.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your second pair split, that SUCKS! I'll never buy that brand!
The second to last, Diba? Those are cute, plus I like a tiny bit of heel. Hope you find a nice pair, I'm still on the hunt. I am a fan of Frye, but not the price.
ReplyDeletedefinitely the third one - it looks sturdy yet very equestrian!

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your boots. I like the first pair best.
ReplyDeleteI like the first two pairs. Have fun finding a replacement pair.
ReplyDeleteI love these the bandolino boots called Castalina. go to www.bandolino.com the click on sale and then on fall specials. I tried them on and they are divine. I've had a pair o black bandolino boots for two years and they're as good as new!
ReplyDeletedefinitely go for leather! i had pvc boots a couple of years ago and they didnt make it through a season! :( i really like all of these styles!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the two boots in the first shot! They look great. Hope you can find a new pair you'll love!

ReplyDeleteMy favs are the aldo ones at amazon. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you're getting 2 I think you should the brown ones on the top row, far left and the black ones on the second row, far right.
ReplyDeleteI love the first pair. You've got to put the links up where you found those ones!
ReplyDelete@ Kellie If you click on the pictures, they'll take you right to their source.

Those Volatile Women's Jockey Boots are amazing- I have to say you've found too many- I am overwhelmed with the fabulousness.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the first and then the one on the left in the 3rd line. It's hard to find the right boots. I always think I have found the perfect pair until I find the next perfect pair. :) I do advocate leather over non-leather only because I find them to be more durable and if you get scuffs on them you can buff them up with polish. Also warmer if that's an issue.
ReplyDeleteOooo LOVE the Victoria's Secret pair. The brown is such a warm, gorgeous color.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Steve Madden makes a great boot called Iriss (I think that's the correct spelling) that I LOVE in brown. Target makes something similar in black and brown.
ReplyDeleteI have the Steven by Steve Madden Intyce boot and I absolutely love it as well -- it has a "hidden" wedge and is pretty tall. A little pricey but I got them on sale.
target has some great boots right now, have you checked them out? around 45$ and we have ross they have tons of boots, just a thought for your minimal budget.
ReplyDelete@ em²ile² I do regularly buy boots online. There aren't many shoe stores around me and I don't have the time to drive around. It is MUCH easier to shop online - plus, there are more selections! Their return policy is excellent too. Endless has a 365 day return policy. It can't get any better than that! And you can always find ways to get cashback or coupons or deals too.
ReplyDeletethe black pair with the wooden sole is just beautiful!!!
ReplyDeletei think u should ge the 2nd pair of brown boots for urself. i think their cute. and going down i like the very last to the right and the very frist one for the black. i think u should get those lol ;) by the way can u tell where to find those boots in the lower right please? the far right???
ReplyDeleteOooh I love them! I have similar boots that I got on eBay :D I like the first ones
