Thanks for sharing, super!
Yeah. i could have done without the pic :) but what glamour is doing is kinda cool!
I think it's great! I understand there are some real limitations that exist regarding sample sizes, but there's no reason there cannot be more variety of model shape/size in all the other areas of the magazine.
it gave me goose bumps. the thing is most girls out there who are modeling are starving herselves, you can't by no means be 6ft tall and ultra skinny naturally.it's really great.http://alectonyx.etsy.com
I read the post and it made me feel so happy. I hate that "normal size" women are not featured in runway shows. I mean, let's be honest, a size 8 is not plus size, the smallest plus size is size 12 (which is my size) but the fact that they should use all shapes and sizes is what we need. How are women supposed to know how the pieces will fir on them if all they see are size 00 girls on the runways who are 6 feet tall? great article and post, glad Glamour is taking the initiative :)
In my women's history class we learned that when some magazines had done this in the past, their advertisers had threatened to pull out. Very sad. I'm glad they were able to do this, and I hope it's a sign of more things to come! Most healthy women could not be models.
