Graphic Tees

10/27/2009

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you've probably noticed that I don't wear a lot of graphic tshirts. Honestly, I think I have three in my closet!!! I'm just not a graphic-tshirt person. I'd rather invest in basics and prints and not advertisements or "witty" sayings all over my chest.

But instead of going on about what I don't like, I'll show you what I do like.

What do you think? Are you into graphic t-shirts?

i'm not a big fan of graphic tees. i have two shirts that my boyfriend painted for me, and one that i bought at UO a few years ago. just not my style!

I love the first one (the black with white pattern) but I never wear graphic tees because I feel like they look good flat but not on with "curves" - and heck, I hardly even have curves!

im usually a fan of graphic tees but some of them are very nice like the black and white v neck that u showed @ the top of the page

I have been getting into graphic tees a lot more recently b/c they look great underneath a leather jacket and with a snug pair of jeans. I especially love that black one you posted and the zebra one. :)

I do- don't buy many but they are fun. My fave is the first one you featured here :)

I'm not a big fan. Sometimes I do think ones without writing are cute, but it's usually just not what I'd choose to spend my clothing-designated money on. In early undergrad I did have a "Hugs Not Drugs" t-shirt...and while I still support that message haha, I don't think I'd buy it today.

The second one you featured is my fave :) Though I do love zebras...

I JUST bought one- the first graphic shirt I've had since probably 10th grade.

I had been looking at the first one you posted at forever21, but I found a really nice one at maurices. :) I can't wait to expiriment more with it. I doubt I will buy more than one more in the next year. They can be hard to pull off and not look very young, and they are hard to integrate into an office environment!

These are great. Definitely like the second one that looks like scribble - that's really cool. Otherwise...not so into the graphic tee either.

i'm wearing one similar to the "city" t-shirt above. i'm more into graphic t-shirts with only a draw or abstract image rather than statements or sayings.
love your blog

I am with you on the not liking shirts with writing on them, as a general rule. The ones you have here though, with cool patterns, are ones I would wear.

Of course! the first two are amazing :)

urban outfitters= the best graphic tees of my LIFE! i loooooove most of them there. check em out?
i cant wear them to work obviously, but i love em for casual nights out, and weekends!

I actually just shunned all my graphic tees to a big box in the closet. I love them, because they each mean something special to me, but I just never wear them.

The only ones I wear are things I've drawn on myself, or one that looks like the ribcage tee from This Is Spinal Tap. I think one of the above posters is right, though - they kind of look better on more angular ladies and my knockers kind of get in the way! :)

Sometimes they can really look so nice and pull an outfit together with a statement. i love the last one :)

haha, I LOVE graphic tees...especially ones with cute sayings...I guess I don't love them that much though because I only have a couple...I think it can add interest to an otherwise boring outfit, and it's alwasy fun when you catch people atring at your chest because they are trying to see what your shirt says. ;) Great way to make a guys face turn beet red.

I'm a basics girl myself, but I really like those top two shirts!

simple, but with a little twist.

They are not really my style either, but I do quite like the zebra one!

Those are great because they're "more" than the average graphic tee. I like the graphic tees Element has, too; have you seen them?

I kind of like them, but I don't wear them nearly as often as I used to. I have one tank top with a bird and a sun in light colors that I layer with, and I have another t-shirt I occasionally wear that says, "Shakespeare hates your emo poems" but other than that, I save the logo/graphic shirts for working out or sleeping in.
I also kind of like the zebra one, but I'd probably never buy it for myself.

graphic tees are fun! i don't have that many but i always love dressing up my graphic tees. since i work in an advertising agency, we can pretty much dress up anyway we want and as an account manager, i can be casual but still presentable to clients. so dressing up a casual graphic tee with a blazer and heels is just perfect for me!

it has to be the right graphic tee, i think when done right they are a good alternative to a plain t-shirt.

I love them..to a certain point, I only have a few of them but I only bought them because I fell in love with them when I saw it at first, that is the only time I will get them
