TGI Weekend

Friday, September 18, 2009
Thank you all for your kind words from my last post!! I'm just SO glad the weekend is here. I was pretty tired when this picture was taken. Time to catch up on sleep and homework.... And the husband and I are going on a date tomorrow night! We are going to see Cirque de la Symphonie. It's been a while since we've gone to a concert/event so I'm pretty excited! What's everyone else up to this weekend?
modest lds fashion blog clothed much
Wearing cardigan from Korea ($10, last year), AE striped shirt ($7), Gap scarf ($8), secondhand BDG jeans ($10), Wal-Mart gladiators ($10).

And I'm thinking of getting a haircut....more layers and straight bangs again. I like changing my hair with the seasons - it makes it official for me.

  11. The top with the jeans is PERFECT. Also, I think I need a thin sweater like that; it hangs pretty cool off of you.

I hope things are better now academic-wise! I know I can get really stressed out when things aren't going well at school but keep on truckin'.

  14. Lovely outfit Elaine. THe stripes look really great on you and i love the sandles.
I wish i was brave enough to change my hairstyle with the seasons, but my hair grows so slowly that it would take too long to grow out!

  21. I think you'd look great with a fringe (weird Americans, you say bangs!), and I love how this cardigan is a little bit seethrough so you can see the stripes.

  34. Hey Elaine!

Love this simple + chic look! When are you guys coming to San Francisco? We have been having amazing weather lately...it stays summery here through November. Gotta love it. Email me if you need recommendations on places to hit while you're here! :)

  36. Your blog is amazing! I really love seeing girls who can make adorable outfits, without there having to be a designer label on every other piece of clothing. I also don't have much money, and I enjoy the challenge of making cute outfits without being able to shop for high-end clothing in order to achieve one! I mean, designer clothing is great and fun to blog about, but it's refreshing to see a very realistic blog!
Hope you'll take a look at my blog...we can exchange links if you want!

  39. I have to say I am in love with your longer hair- but of course, I might love it if you cut it too! ;)

As for the casual outfit- very cute and well-put together. I can't believe colder weather will be on us so soon!

  40. oh the scarf belt again! How do you do it, I mean I know how because I studied your tutorial, but I just can't pull it off like you do! first of all, I need to work on my styling, it dosen't seem to look as seamless with my ensambles as it does yours, and also, none of my scarfs really wrap around my waist like yours, I need to get a bigger scarf... or a smaller waist!

    ReplyDelete
  41. i love this. love the sheerness of the cardigan, the stripes, the scarf...divine!

  42. I love the simplicity of this outfit - it's all so pretty and sweet!
